You really think this is about gun control? Maybe it's just a ploy to keep us from eating Russian Caviar.......

Would you rather we not try economic sanctions on Russia just so that you can continue to buy cheap Russian ammo and instead send young men and women there to risk their lives?

I don't own any guns with mm in the cartridge designation. And I'm not sending anyone anywhere, except my wife. I sent her off to work this morning. ;)

The only people who know what is on the table and what is to happen is high ranking officials and Russian and US Government. Putin needs to exercise control over Crimea and Obama needs to appear to take strong stance against Russian intervention particularly because Affordable Care Act is a disaster. The only thing remaining now is for Ukrainians to accept the settlement. They do need to look at history of their nation and make decision based on that. Engaging Russia in combat can only bring disaster unto them.

Our men and women of the military service going there is NOT on the table. The all options being on the table is only for ears of the populace.

I can live without the "American" cartridges tulammo and brown bear makes, but what about the "commie" cartridges do we have domestic sources or atleast non-russian?
Also, if all of us who shoot Tula for fun and competition have to switch to domestic brass-cased ammo, then availability of the latter is going to go down and prices up, due to the increased demand.

Don't get me wrong I don't want to lose the cheap "American" cartridges they produce either my point was they'd atleast still be available at an ok price. I personally have no aversion to cheap steel cased ammo in any caliber.

There's a lot more going than just a possible kink in the ammo supply, but its about the only thing that might be affected that is relevant to this forum.

Not only ammo but russian made saigas, sporting guns , will get stopped. We will be hurt no matter what.

Paying more for steel cased 9MM than you can buy brass cased 9MM for is the definition of braindead panic buying.

Regardless, I suggest that folks look a little deeper than the FUD spewed by the Fox News NeoCons and the MSNBC ObamaHawks.

Brassmaxx is made in Bosnia and Herzegovina and under contract in Italy by Fiocchi.

Ammo is like the new oil. Anything that happens in the world that MIGHT have some impact on manufacturing or distribution will result in higher prices. More "panic" buying, more ammunition diverted to military operations, etc, etc.
Stack it high and stack it deep. It won't go bad.

That would be a prudent action for one to take. I would not go overboard but adding a case of each is something I believe would be a reasonable response.

I myself added some Winchester 9mm NATO to my stash simply because if Russian supplies are curtailed American made ammo will naturally increase as supply disappears. Plus its the first Winchester 124 grain ammo to hit the shelf in a very long time so I would have purchased a case anyway.

They are going to be hurt economically as well. They don't want to stop selling anything right now. It would take full out war in the area to curtail production for selling overseas, IMHO, but that is off topic for THR. ;)

Well, am I the geopolitician - free up the stuff from China. That will show them. Flood the USA with Chinese clones of fun guns and cheap ammo.

Take that Vlad!!
