I am using a x-bolt 30-06 with 180 grain sierra gamekings sbt and 57 grains of ramshot hunter I am guessing its about 2700 fps. It tore this pig up bad!! He was facing me and slightly uphill from me. I shot him through his front shoulder/chest area and it broke the bone, went down his body and broke his spine about a foot from his tail and then exited with about a 4 inch hole taking about half of his guts out his back, and ruined about half the roast. I knew I was a little over gunned but I didn't think it would be that bad. I have never torn an animal up that bad before. I recovered the bullet from the guts hanging out of her body.

here are a couple pics with the bullet and pig. there is a dime under the bullet in the 1 pic for comparison. I weighed the bullet and its 154.5 grains now. anyone else had similar results?

I don't know if this should've went in hunting but since I killed him with my hand loads I put it here.

I would've taken a head shot but there was a small tree blocking the shot. I was up in some brush stalking them and if I moved she would've run. She was already alert looking for me.

Last I knew Sierra lists the Game King as a longer range bullet, designed for effect after it's lost some velocity. The Pro Hunter is designed for shorter range.
