Can anyone tell me the approximate FPS with Berry's bullets for the following:
10 grains of Herco with the 220 gr FP
11 grains of Herco with the 200 gr FP

Thanks

A lot of different factors come in to play. Length of barrel, difference of primers and cases. The only way to tell for sure is to chronograph the loads in your particular weapon.

Thanks. Using a 6" S&W 629. I know they recommend not running these too "hot". None of the manuals I have carrying info for Berry's, but I'm a little outdated. Will look this weekend for something more current.

Berrys is just one brand of plated bullets. Plated bullets have been around for a long time.

I have been using there bullets for about 10 years I have always loaded them on the mid to max side of lead reloading data with a medium to some what heavy crimp, you have to be careful not to cut through the plating I always pull the first one and the 10th and then the 40th one just to check the crimp. They have quite a bit of information on there website, but as others have said in this forum chronograph them if you are concerned about speed I don't and have never had any problems.

I load the at max cast loads or start jacketed loads but I don't use that powder, under that plating is a hard cast bullet , how hard ? they tend to brake as they flatten out , so I'd say real hard , , I have never had an issue pushing them at 1100fps out of a 10 1/2 44mag
