Well after much want and wonder about the 10mm I finally decided to just bite the bullet and buy one. Lets first start out by saying this was not a planned purchase, a buddy wanted to stop at a LGS which never ends well for me anyway. I asked the guy behind the counter if the only 10mm he has was the G29 that was in the case and he said, yep that's all. Then he says oh wait I think we have one that just came in yesterday let me get it for you. He brings out a G20 Gen 3 SF which was dressed with grip tape (still debating that) and a stainless steel guide rod. I asked what he was asking and he says $450. After a quick look over and a strip down I decide that this one was going home with me. Now I have to start reloading 10mm. :banghead:

Now I have to start reloading 10mm.

Good luck finding your brass :)

Biggest negative of the 10mm IMHO, I've Glock 20, Colt Delta Elite, and EAA Witness Elite and they all launch the brass ~30 feet :(

Knowing that I would eventually get a 10mm, whether 2 months or 20yrs from now I started to pick up 10mm brass whenever I saw it. I have roughly 400pcs so far and hope to pick up more. If it flings brass that far I will have a brass catcher there to catch it as I shoot it. LOL

Guys at our range just set a fish net and tripod up beside their gun bay. It gets most of them. We RSO's are always on the lookout for 10mm brass because we love to give back a couple of handfuls to those who have those guns.

I'd like to get a 10mm someday but it's down on my list so realistically speaking unless I win the lottery it is going to be a long time before I get one.

I don't think a week goes by that I don't think about and wish for a 10mm carbine.

The gun that I've been gravitating toward is the Witness Hunter:

You used "pulled the trigger" and "bite the bullet" in the same post. Awesome usage of gun puns!
Colonel Cooper would salute your choice of caliber. Anybody remember the Bren 10?

Would love to get a 10mm. some day just because it's different from all of the mainstream calibers out there. (I'm also a big fan of the .38 Super and the .357 SIG). When the time comes I will probably look for something like a Colt Delta Elite mainly because I'm also a big Colt fan too.

Been carryin' these to off and on for years.

Gummint model and CCO

Hey Peter!!! Small world.:)

I will be the first to admit I was curious about the snort that this caliber is known for. I loaded up 20 pcs of 165gr Frontiers on top of 7.0gr of Unique. I didn't think that this was that much powder but the starting load was 6.3 and max is 7.3. This thing has no more snap and recoil than my G21 in 45. I can easily see myself falling for this gun. I just need to develop a load that this gun likes.

Oh and yes I did scrounge around the ground looking for the brass and I lost was one, but don't think I was looking like a mad man for that 1 single piece.

Just handload and for most shooting load it down a bit.

Just use the full power loads when you need them.

The 20 Glock is an excellent gun. Not as pretty as my 629-1 but it still is an excellent gun.
