What's Your Pick for POCKET CARRY??

My EDC pocket pistol is a P32 in an Uncle Mike's holster. For special occasions I use an Seecamp 32 in a Galco horsehide holster. tom.

Colt Cobra. IWB. I used to carry a Model 36 Smith, but with the Colt I get one more round plus a full 2" barrel. I went through all sizes and configurations from the NAA's to 1911's, but I always come back to the snub 38. I think a lot of us older fellows like revolvers better than autos. Maybe not, but I sure do.

My current favorite is the Ruger LCP. The comfort factor is just too powerful to ignore. I had an old Smith model 37 that was a decent pocket carry, but the LCP is more practical. I've been known to pocket carry a P11 Keltec, but not so much anymore.

Originally I was set on a J Frame.

I pocket carry a S&W 642 quite often. Although I have a couple of semiautos in my carry rotation, I like this revolver best. It rides in a Mika pocket holster and that's a real good combination.

The Pocket Cannon

Hey,
My vote is for the 340 SC. Light recoil.357 works very well for me. Carry often, shoot enough to be proficient..... What is nice is the light weight of the gun.... The 5 rounds of ammo weigh as much as the empty gun. The 3 speed loaders are what is heavy though.

Let's pray we never need the pocket gun. But being prepared and proficient is that important to me. God Bless the USA!!!

Be safe out there!

Taurus TCP in an Uncle George's wallet holster. Either in back pocket of jeans or slacks, or in cargo pocket of cargo pants and shorts.

Another vote for the Taurus TCP. Yes it is possible that you could get a lemon, but if you don't you are getting the best overall .380 pocket gun on the market (and the cheapest!).

However, I have long thought that the ultimate "pocket gun" would be a Kel-Tec P-32. Alas, I don't reload for .32 and can't justify the ammo expense or another gun expense at this time. Someday...

P32 is my personal preference. I find the .32acp to be better suited to these "mouse guns."
The Seecamp LWS32 is the nicest. But, the P32 is cheaper, lighter, holds more ammo and has less recoil. Plus I think the P32 is at least one thing KelTec got right.
That said, the stainless version of the LCP is probably a better all around choice.
Now IF Ruger offered the new stainless LCP in .22lr...awesome! I don't really care for pocket carry and rarely ever do. I hate stocking a niche caliber.

S&W 642 in a pocket holster - no hammer to snag - reasonable caliber - shoots where I want.

S&W M&P 380 Bodyguard - even more concealable than the J-frame Without a holster it conceals in a front shirt pocket. Would never carry it this way but it points to the compactness of the pistol.

My usual pocket carry is a Česká Zbrojovka vz.70, although I sometimes go with my P-64 CZAK with some pants. Either way, I use a pocket holster from Robert Mika. ;)

I carry a S&W M&P in .45 full size with 14 round mags (3) loaded with Talons...I got big pockets LOL!

My little gun to fight my way to the big gun

It is thin, light, flat and has a streamlined shape that makes it easy to draw from a pocket. I have not fired it extensively, perhaps ~150 rounds, but its functioning has been flawless from round one. I have also carried a Kahr PM9 this way. This is about the largest gun practicable for this kind of carry, IMO.

Mostly because of its jewel-like craftsmanship, I'd really like to have a Seecamp .32, but they are uncommon, somewhat expensive when I do find them, and are designed around a load that I never seem to see any more, the Winchester Silvertip. I suppose other 60-65-grain hollowpoints from other makers might function in it, but this makes for some mighty expensive practice.

You must have some large pockets Hoosier.
I could never fit my vz 70 in mine. TCP is for me.
"Very large pockets" for a vz.70? Are you serious? You are wearing adult sizes, aren't you?

Are you sure you're not thinking about a vz.82 or CZ83?
