I've been shooting a long time. Over the years I've adopted various techniques I thought might improve my performance both in competition and in the military/contracting world. Without a doubt I believe that the best shooters always seem to look relaxed. They aren't contorted or hunched over or crouched, they just look like they are at ease and happen to be shooting a gun. This, I have found, works best for me too.

I generally do that drill when at the local outdoor range, but at 50 yards, due to the placement of the target stands.
But with a two shot string, instead of the second shot being a dry fire.
That should get the same results without having to rely on a judgment call for the second one, especially if both shots are done fairly quickly.
His approach is definitely on the mark.
Keep things simple and leave out the extraneous dogma that causes confusion.
Of course if everyone followed his advice, there'd be lots less conversation around the forums.

I love the way he reduces it to it's simplest terms. As already said - concentrate on where it's pointed and the trigger. The rest is cool but meaninglessly convoluted if you don't master the sights and the trigger.

Thanks for sharing the links! :)

Very nice to see a relaxed teaching method. I will try to mimic his style with my students.
