A buddy of mine ask me why all my spotting scopes have straight eye pieces, rather than the angled one's. He says the angled are more comfortable to work with in the field. I don't think I've ever glassed with an angled one, other than a couple times at the range with a Leupold one of my sons has, but range use doesn't really compare to field use. I haven't had any issues I can think of with the straight one's I've been using for almost 3 decades. And since I'm going to add another spotting scope to my hunting gear in the next couple weeks, I was wondering if maybe I should consider an angled one?
