I had the opportunity to test the Vortex 20x60x80 Diamondback straight and angled eye piece, a Vortex 20x60x60 Viper rotating angled eye piece. Also a couple others, both Leupolds, 15x45x60 SX-1 Vantana angled, and the straight eye pieced one.

Having some very painful neck problems, my goal is to find a decent quality scope to help me endure the long hours of field use.

The Diamondbacks were amazing, the imaging and definition quality was something to be compared to the $1,200 - $1,500 Leupolds, really great glass for the money. The primary difference between these scope and the 12- 15 hundred dollar Leupolds, was weight more than anything else, and they are rather heavy, and rather large too, but I can live with that trade off.

The 20x60x60 Vipers put the SX-1 Vantana 15z45x60 Leupold to absolute shame. At around $400 I don't think there is another scope on the market that can compete. But once again, they are big and heavy, but really decent glass. The angled eye piece was super nice. I spent 2 says sun up to sun down glassing, with this one, and because the eye piece rotates 90 degrees, I was able to avoid uncomfortable positions, and I could change directions by simply rotating the eye piece, and still sacrificing very little comfort in doing so.
