Is this not the ugliest thing you've ever seen on an AK?

Ya, these have been around for a lil while now. Someone thought it would be a great idea to put a paintball double trigger on an AK so you could at least theoretically "walk" the trigger. Trigger walking is done by alternating squeezing with your index finger and your middle finger. It works well with electronic "mouse click" triggers on paintball guns, but I see less than no purpose for it on a real rifle.

That's ugly, but there's been a lot worse things done to AKs than that.

Looks like the Century monkeys ran out of triggers, so they substituted one from a paintball gun.

Oh ya!
That's one of those Siberian Gulag models.

It's the hot set-up for repelling up-risings when it's 55 below at night, you have been on guard duty 24 hours straight, and your fingers have been frozen stiff for the last 21 hours.

If I ever met up with whoever came up with that, I'd be on him like ugly on a AK.

Looks gimmicky to me and could be a weak point.

If you start looking for the weakest point to fix on an AK, eventually you'll end up with a steel brick with a magazine sticking out the bottom.

Gimmicky, yes. These are pretty nice on paintball markers, but they don't move around like an AK does. I'd just as soon get a file at that trigger so I could keep full contact on it.

Ugliest?

Not even remotely.
Certainly one of the silliest but given the way AKs have been abused by stocks, muzzle devices, goofy "scout" options, 40 round mags and the like - not nearly the ugliest.

Maybe for a guy with tendon/nerve issues, it might even have some practical application benefits.

the one time I did paintball, I had a pump action thing. So what? You slide your finger down and snap off two quick(er) shots with one physical stroke of one's finger? Even though it's two actual depressions of the trigger itself?

Oh, I get it. This was a thread for AR fanboys to bash AK's in general instead of just a funky looking trigger. I own both and I would put my Saiga up against anyone's AR in a beauty contest.

Since 1947...
I like my 10/63 better than my AR.
Added the ATI kit & a short bi-pod which can be used as a vertical grip.
The wood stocks are too short for me so the kit fixed that as well as dressed her up.

And that triggers ugly ;)

They're only worthwhile on paintball guns that use microswitches, and the trigger pull is shorter than a mouse click.

Speaking of, I miss paintball...
