I got some gift cards for christmas, decided to invest in a quality gun belt for concealed carry. I looked at the SOE and Ares belts, and other rigger type designs but I need something less casual for work. I looked at the Bianchi B12,which is 1.5" they also have the B9 that belt is 1.75"

Anyone ever used this belt, or any bianchi belt? or have any other recommendations?

Thanks

i own a couple of what i consider name brands....galco, etc.....i prefer my ag gunleather belts. fellow who owns it was easy to work with and made me exactly what i wanted years ago, but that doesn't really help ya in the regards of gift cards.

I use an Aker B21 and a DeSantis Econobelt. Neither is in the high-dollar range for belts, but both have held up well. Almost 4 years with the Aker and about a year or year and a half on the DeSantis.

www.universalholsters.com

He sells a weird holster thingy which I have no interest in but his belts are top notch. Two layers of leather double stitched with a kydex liner sandwiched in between. Black or tan, brass buckles. I think with a stiff belt like this the square buckle works best, request a square buckle. I carry a Sig 239 in an outside the waistband holster and it never tries to lean away from my body, very solid. I own two.

Get a nice custom-made belt from one of the links provided. I have a Elephant belt from the Beltman and love it, but would love to try out A&G also. Get a good one.

Own two 1 1/4 inch business belts with a stiffener in them from thebeltman. Best belts I ever bought. Nice thing is Jim will shorten the belt anytime you want for a nominal charge that basically covers postage. I have already had him reduce my belts by 4" and expect to send him the belts again by the end of the month to reduce them another 4".....I have been very successful in losing weight!

So, with thebeltman, you have the ability to shorten your belt if needed. I'm not sure if other makers offer that service....

Good luck!

For a good belt at a reasonable price check out Hank's Clothing Amish belts

I am a huge fan of Wilderness gunbelts. If you carry IWB and the belt is visible, these may be a no-go for you. But if you carry OWB or your belt isn't visible for some other reason, they're impossible to beat for the money.

I ordered my Hanks based on this thread, and it was to my door in three days. I am very happy with it; thick, well made, good looking, affordable. I carry a Sig P226 in a high-noon OWB, and this belt keeps it tight to my body with zero roll.

Tommy Theis of Theisholsters.com makes hybrid holsters and belts. His belt is called the Jake Belt, named after his grandson.

Its about $55-60. I have had mine for nearly a year, wear it everyday. It is solid and comfortable. GREAT price and amazing customer service. He makes them all by hand one!

Another shout out here for Rick and RG Leather. I received my belt a month or so ago. Outstanding quality and very reasonable price.

Milt Sparks for 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" belts. They will last forever and the 1-1/4" version goes great with suits. You can outgrow them but you can't outlast them. I handed down an almost 30 year old belt to my son, who loves it.

Gun belts, outdoor belts .....

In general, I'd look into these sites or brands;

Duluthtrading.com , LLBean.com , Ken Null, Mitch Rosen, The Wilderness, Thebeltman.net , Blackhawk.com , Ted Blocker, Don Hume, 5.11 Tactical, the Liger belt, Galls.com , PoliceHQ.com , CopsPlus.com .

In recent years, I've used mostly a black Unkle Mike's nylon 1.75" wide instructor belt. I may buy a new Wilderness or Beltman.net belt if I lose 20/30 lbs. ;)
I have a few 5.11 Tactical belts in OD, FDE, black. They are small on me now but I save them in case my weight changes again. All of them can support a loaded firearm or mags/white lights/knives.
