I have a TC Encore .50 cal ML. that I purchased in 2004. Can I replace the current breach plug with a Speed Breach Plug. If so should I expect any headspace issues?

Why would you have a "headspace issue" with a firearm with no cartridge to headspace?? 
I legitimately want to know because I have never heard the term black powder rifle and headspace used in the same sentence.

Headspace issues are non-existant in a muzzel loading firearm.
Replacing a Breech Plug is another matter mostly because of thread alignment.
Plainly put, the new breech plug will be "tight" but the tang "alignment" almost a full turn "off". IMHO, LEAVE IT ALONE!!

Some of the after market breech plugs do use a 25acp case.Headspace may not be the correct term but I think most knew what he meant.
