KONUS rifle scopes. Anyone have one ???

I own one on my muzzleloader. It is a Konus Pro 3-9x40. It has the engraved reticle. It is mounted on a Traditions Buckstalker. I killed two deer and fired twenty shots. It has worked well but I have only had it for one year. It is a very good scope for the money, I will say my Redfield Revolution is better, the difference becomes more apparent when it gets dark.

Thanks that is what I needed to know, the comparison to the Redfield Revolution says it all.

I have only owned Leupolds, older Burris's , old Redfields, and a couple very old Weavers.

I was hoping to find a light and compact scope since my rings are only 4 inches apart from center to center on the rings.

I have used Konus telescopes for years. They are not a big name in the telescope market, but are known as a "value" scope. Decent quality optics for the price. usually the cost savings are in the focuser and some of the housing. But they were always solid physically. I would not hesitate to put one on a .22, but on a big game rifle, I would pass.

They're Chinese, not Italian (made, that is), but seem accurate and nice enough on my FNAR. Best impressive-looking-"sniper scope"-that-actually-works-well deal running when I bought it a few years back. Konus Pro lit reticle powered up to 12X max (a nice feature for target shooting, even if the parallax in the zoom isn't the greatest, since I can easily check targets at distance)
