This falls into the "idle curiosity" realm. Is there any, current, production revolver in the semi-rimmed .25 ACP or .32 ACP manufactured somewhere in the world? There were some European wheelguns made in said a very long time ago (pre-War). I know Bowen also made a custom S&W in .25 ACP, but that was literally a single piece.

Anyway, just wondering.

I have heard of folks shooting .32ACP in Colts made for .32 New Police. I also not that some of the chamber adapter folks that use one made for .32 H&R Magnum say one can use .32ACP in those adapters in their .30 rifle.

I personally subscribe to loading what the manufacturer marked the revolver as being for, other than .357 Magnum with .38 SPL and .44 Magnum with .44 SPL.

As for made specifically for .32 ACP I can not imagine it in the US. Just no market.

I tried this

I fired some .32ACP ball out of an H&R chambered for the .32 S&W Long and it worked fine, but the group was double the size of the some 98 grain round nose lead .32 S&W rounds.

Maybe the long jump from the cylinder to the barrel?

VERY cool S&W there.

If one had the patience to reload .25 ACP, it might be a viable plinking/target revolver.

Cobray Pocket Pal?

AFAIK, no longer made post-1980s and it was in .380ACP/.22LR (convertible) not .25 ACP or .32 ACP. Neat in its own bizarre way though. I know I'd snap one up, just because, if the price was right. :)

I would be first in line for a NAA Mini scaled to .32 acp. Keep the everything the same- spur trigger, reloading process, and using the principle of resting the firing pin between the cases (just like many 19th century designs) for safe carry.

There was a prototype of that. It never went into production, AFAIK.

Oh, maybe so. And you're right about the proportions. I forget as they built that like a decade or more ago.

It still would be a neat little plinker.

I wouldn't shoot 32acp out of a 32 S&W short or long revolver. 32acp are loaded to a higher pressure than 32 S&W long.

I happen to own four 32 H&R revolvers and I have no qualms about shooting 32acp out of them. They are made for magnum ammo that has higher pressures than the 32acp. Of the four, one will not fire 32acp, one is inconsistent, and the other two shoot it with zero problems.

So if you get a 32 magnum revolver, you might have a 32acp revolver as well.
