Seems like there's nothing this stuff won't do for carbon buildup and cleaning moving parts in cars...

What about guns??

Would love to hear y'all's thoughts!

It'll work as good as anything else. Clean your gun with a different magic goo every time you shoot it for the rest of your life. You'll never notice any difference.

Seafoam and carbon.....I took a pair of used pistons and sat them top down in a pan of Seafoam. It did absolutely nothing to remove carbon.

A can of Seafoam is an extremely overpriced way of selling people $2 worth of isopropyl alcohol, naptha and light oil:p

I mix up some diesel fuel, red ATF fluid, KOIL and Hoppies # 9. Really cuts the carbon out. Trying some in my ultra sonic cleaner for pistols.

I'll take that as a collective "no," with a bunch of unrelated info and opinions thrown in for flavor...

Yep sometimes this place makes you wonder, why even ask?

I used the heck out of it on small engines, & lawn mowers. Its good stuff but please use it in well ventlated areas. It has some bad stuff in it.
A bit more than some posters here said about it.
Try on your starter pully on chain saws, trimmers ,edgers it makes it so much better. Engine hard to turn over? spray it in the plug hole & turn it over a few times so much easier.

My thought as well. Other than Sweet's (which is very specifically a copper fouling remover) I can't tell much difference between the 6-7 different bottles of stuff I have acquired over the years. They all smell just little bit different but they all take abut the same number of brushstrokes to get all of the gunk out of the bore.

I mostly just use Ed's Red these days. I figure the quart I made will last for at least 10 years.
