Lets see, it would be about 3 o'clock with 12 o'clock being directly in front of me (so my right hip). Got a kingtuk (?) IWB that works just fine for me. Since I just started carrying the leather from the holster (one of those half kydex half leather ones) and my new belt creak a decent bit. Should go away after my gear gets molded to my body.
I considered appendix carry very strongly until I actually got a chance to try out some holsters. The shop I went to had a practice pistol (one of those hard rubber ones used for martial arts and stuff) and let me try on different holsters and move around in them so I could get a feel for how I would be moving and if I needed to change any motions to keep from printing. Frankly I went to hip because I didn't like how my pistol sat when I was sitting. It was pretty uncomfortable and the longer I sat the more visible my pistol got. Plus I'm pretty skinny so having it on my hip actually hides it better than having it at my appendix.
