Learned the same thing in Marine ITR at Pendleton in 1971, by the end of the day about 90% of the company had mastered it.
This was after one of the instructors borrowed a quarter from someone and shot it with his M-16....they didn't let us try that :)
With a few warm up shots. i can still hit...
This is only my second time shooting, but i do remember stopping by in the past and seeing a lot more vendors on traders row. Monday was a pretty wet day, off and on rain most of the day and most of the vendors that did show up didn't bother setting up. There doesn't seem to be as many shooters...
It was good meeting you yesterday Gary, good conversation with good people.
The wind finally died down and i got my rifle properly zeroed today, going to shoot my rifle matches tomorrow and pistol Saturday.
Are you going to be around Saturday night for the pot-Luck dinner? The food last...
This from our first outing with our 6 year old grand daughter, trained her on safe gun handling in the back yard with a pellet gun and off to the public range with her new .22lr. Of course being a hip and fashionable young lady, she insisted that her shirt and rifle match ;)
Yes. Before our constitutional carry was signed into law a few years ago, i could have been cited for unpermitted concealed carry when i was pulled over by a highway patrolman.
I shoot at the local public range quite often and when i do, i load my rifles in the back seat of my crew cab and...
No. I believe that the majority of folks who wish to take on the responsibility of owning a gun will train on their own....for the rest, well, you can't fix stupid.
mandatory drivers training doesn't make better drivers
I'll be there again this year. I shoot at Ben Avery just about every weekend ( only 15 minutes from my house)
I'll be shooting in-line bench rest, pistol, and ???
Won the in-line aggregate last year, think i found a load that might get me close to the record :)
Look me up, i would be good to...
I've been trying to find the most accurate 22LR for my Savage mark ll TR, tried several brands from bulk to premium match ammo. This target is with RWS R100, so far it's in the top three, but it's stupid expensive, 17.50 a box from Midway. My friends CZ 452 will do the same with this ammo...
"I can't help but wonder if Foster would have attacked an early 30s man that could pass for a 1%er, if he spotted my CC pistol."
That was my first thought when i read this story
That's what i use. The company i work for bought new gang boxes and gave the old ones to the staff. Little bit of body work and paint = safe, secure ammo storage....lots of ammo storage :)
These things can be found pretty cheap in the want ads
Fire isn't an issue with me, my house has a fire...
Went to the Zoo...er Walmart, that is. Didn't buy anything, i just like to watch the madness.
The crowd waiting for the .22LR to be brought out looked dangerous.:what:
My black Friday gun stuff was delivered by UPS Wednesday, 2 bricks of Norma Tac .22lr, bought it from Mid south shooter...
She wants to make a bracelet out of them. I told her she could as long as she didn't wear it to school, we all know what would happen if she did that....it's not the world i grew up in any more
Congratulations, good to see the youngsters learning to shoot. I started my grand daughter on an air rifle, and bought her first .22 last Christmas, this is her on her first trip to Ben Avery.
The range officers were very helpful and she didn't break any safety rules
Good job Grandpa
