I've owned several of each. complete rifles and home built. Out of those two, I would go with the PSA. It comes down to barrel material.
The original S&W sport was a better rifle.

1. People with no trouble don't complain. The complaints you are hearing is a small percentage of the millions of AR owners.

What is the spec for the length of 5/8-24 threads? What is the min length? I have a 700 Rem with 5/8-24 threads that are .580 long. Will that be an issue?
Don't go shorter than a typical suppressor warranty: 10.5" long.

You'll hear arguments about needing the extra velocity of 11, 12, etc. A 10.5 has enough velocity for 75gr T2 TAP, 77gr MK262, 77gr IMI razorcore to be lethal past 150 yards...
Easy. Novice understanding of torque, vise blocks, barrel blocks for the flash hider and correct grease on the barrel nut threads and you are good to go.
Edit: It is good to have a spare barrel nut. Rarely, one will not clock properly. Always buy American AR parts. The chinese junk at gun shows...
