Well, that makes too much sense. We can't have that now, can we?
(Yes, I work for the government. As does a large portion of my family.....I've been around enough to know that almost NOTHING any government does makes sense)
...with whom you have fought on multiple occasions
At your local O'Charley's, and the girl who's putting the garnishes on your plate is the crack wh*** you just saw last week in jail
At your local grocery (again), and see the same girl as before, walking around, shopping (or shoplifting...
This was in reference to the fact that, as a law enforcement officer, I have no need of a permit to carry my gun. By statute, I'm allowed to carry in ANY area in my state, and thanks to HR218, I can carry anywhere in the country, with some limitations. Under that same law, I can carry anywhere...
Joe,
237.110(13)(f) technically specifies that one cannot carry "into any elementary or secondary school facility without the consent of school
authorities as provided in KRS 527.070" Since every other statute specifically states "premises" or some other term that would denote the entire...
Mike,
I also vote....That way, I can complain. ;)
I agree with people giving away too many freedoms. Fortunately for me, live in a good state, with sensible people (Kentucky). Honestly, I've gotta say that our gun laws are even better than Texas, which surprised me. Very little...
Can you quote the statute? I'm not trying to be a butthead about it, but I'm looking at the statutes now, and not seeing anything. Matter of fact, here is the wording of the particular law used to charge people for illegally carrying:
(4) Persons, except those specified in subsection (5) of...
National ID = bad idea, IMO.
I already have US citizenship, with proof being in the form of my birth certificate. It was issued by the government of one of these fine United States, and that's all I need. Fingerprints should suffice for ID, should someone be arrested for an illegal act...
Why thank you for degrading and insulting a large number of my family, as well as insulting me, all in one sentence.
FYI, my wife and I are LEO's, my mom is USAR, and my uncle & grandfather are both USN retirees. Oh, and the uncle is now a LEO, close to that retirement.
See, statements...
Good, it's not me!
Went down about 1.5 to 2 hours ago, and I can't get back in. Keep getting "internal server error" and "remote server cannot be reached" errors. What about you?
Joe,
I'm a bit confused as to why an AG's opinion would be needed in your wife's case. The CCW law says that she can have a gun in her vehicle, while on school grounds, provided it's not brandished, blah, blah, blah. CCW law also says that an employer may not prevent an employee from carrying...
I'm sure it varies state to state, and being that you don't live here in KY, this isn't much help, but...
The statute says that:
433.236 Detention and arrest of shoplifting suspect.
(1) A peace officer, security agent of a mercantile establishment, merchant or merchant's
employee who has...
People hear "12 year old girl", and think of a sweet little innocent girl with pigtails, a dress, and a cute smile.....
The last Amber Alert I remember from my state (about 2 weeks ago, IIRC), it was a 12 year old female. Physical description was about 5'4 and 160 or so lbs.
I also once...
I'd bet that if 4 scumbags broke into DocZinn's house, and overpowered him, he'd want more than one or two patrol cars there...
Heck, even if it was only ONE thug that overpowered him, I'd bet he'd still want more than 2-3 officers responding....
You know, Doc sounds like the kind of...
Riot away.....
The cops I know & work with all have better toys than the freaks that will be rioting...I'd just ask that, if this happens, no complaining about the LE response, OK?
I'd like to comment solely on the search technique, and not on the "this is retarded, why are they doing it?" comments. I don't fly , so I don't care about it, to be honest, and I don't want to get caught up in the right/wrong aspects of why they are doing this. I'd just like to make some...
$418.95 for a stock model, after tax.
But, that's with the LE discount. You could always find a cop who is trying to sell a used one. No, that's not an offer, I like my G19. And my G27, G22, and G23. :D
I can't wait for the inevitable "talks" that we'll have with the school regarding my daughter. She is 5, and just started kindergarten this year. Guns are commonplace at our house, since her mom and I are both law enforcement officers. We always carry, obviously, and my daughter has been taught...
Can I irritate some of you all for a minute? :D
I'm in LE, so I don't need one....
Now, before we get out the pitchforks, lanterns, and a big bonfire, hear me out...:p
I currently have a CCW in Kentucky. The earliest I could get one was when I turned 21. That happened 7 years...
Zonamo,
Thanks for posting the appropriate statute for the appropriate location. My only point was that a "dictionary" definition for assault was not the "legal" definition in all areas, as some posters suggested.
Now that the CORRECT area and statute have been posted, ya'll can have at it.
Well, since this thread isn't totally dead yet, I'll give it some CPR to get it moving again....
I've only shot it a few times, but earlier this year, I decided that I wanted something other than my Remington 700 (30.06) to deer hunt with. Reason being, I got tired of lugging the damn thing...
