Thanks everyone! I'm gonna take it to my gunsmith and get him to give it a once over just to make sure, but after that this is going to be my most prized and used shotgun!
Yeah, I think that's what I'll do.
Do yall think I caused any possible damage to the receiver or something that I can't see when I shot 3" shells out of it? Are 2 3/4" receivers not as strong as ones built for 3"? I know S&W revolvers have different strengths based on what caliber they are, I...
My old man gave me his Remington 870 Wingmaster recently. It was actually given to him as a gift, used by the prior owner. I called Remington and they told me it was made in 1978.
The action is smooth, and though I haven't shot it much, I think it works well. There are a couple of scratches...
I don't plan on shooting someone more than 20 yards away, really. I'm not gonna shoot someone just because they're trespassing. Even if they were vandalizing or something, I don't think shooting them would be the proper action. I put an immense value on human life, and unless mine or that of my...
There's been a few posts about 7.62x39 lately, and I'm more of a pistol guy, but I am curious.
Where does 7.62x39 rank as far as stopping power? I'm sure FMJ isn't all that impressive like with any caliber, but what about a JHP like from doubletap?
And if one wanted a rifle in a practical...
.44 Special vs. .45 ACP
I know this has been discussed to death, but how would a 240 grain HP .44 Special going 1100 fps compare in terminal ballistics to a 230 grain .45 ACP going 900 FPS? Which is more "powerful" for self defense?
The .429 caliber bullet of the .44 Special has about 11%...
Does anyone know how long these will last in terms of rounds fired? Are there any documented tests on this gun? I'd only be shooting .45 Colt out of it if I got one. I see some people on the 'net talking bad about them and their Redhawk counterpart some times.
How long (in terms of rounds fired) will the major components of the Glock 21 last, and specifically the frame? I just bought one.
And should I worry about these "kaboom" stories you hear every once in a while with G21's?
Does anyone here have a Wilson Combat 1911 of any kind? Have you had any reliability problems?
I'm considering getting a Wilson Combat CQB, but not if it's unreliable.
Would a Sig P220 with an all stainless frame and slide last longer in terms of rounds fired compared to a standard 220 with an aluminum frame?
How many rounds can I expect from each's frame before it needs to be replaced? (The Aluminum and Stainless frames, respectively).
I've heard...
A few of my friends got Sigs within the past year, and some of them had serious problems.
Thing is, I'm in the market for a new .45 ACP pistol, and the Sig P220 Stainless Nitron has really caught my eye. All steel .45 in a well regarded design.
I've been reading on on Sig's and I see a...
