Wabbit huntin'
I took a rabbit this week with a .177 pellet gun...headshot it in my backyard.
With a shotgun...anything over 410 is overkill, especially if ya want any meat out of the kill...( the only reason I hunt ).
Oh yea...
Yes...as a few friends have other brands that I've shot...the Walther and the Beeman.
I find no need whatsoever for ear plugs...and I'm very careful of my hearing, as I use Surefire SONIC DEFENDERS everytime I shoot rim or centerfire weapons.
Check both the websites...Gamo and...
My .177
After considering some of the best names in the air gun business, to include Walther, RWS, Crossman, Beeman, etc...I chose the Gamo Whisper. One of the critical reasons for this choice was the supressor that cuts ambient sound up to 52% from other models...as I am in a semi-rural area...
Korean Ammo
I just recently purchased Korean military ammo from the Sportsmans Guide described as:
70's production ( mine was stamped 73 ) military ammo produced at Korea's Pusan government arsenal..."KA" headstamped 150 grain FMJ boattail bullet...boxer primed and mildly corrosive ( ? )...
My Ruger Bisley Vaquero...
is an "old" model in Stainless with a 5 1/2" barrel chambered in .357magnum. I handled the Colt Cowboy, the USFA Rodeo, and a Uberti before I even touched a Ruger, and I bought the Vaquero...
I never had a problem loading or unloading, and it hits where I aim...I did...
Vulnerable...?

Right tool for the right job...
My costume...
consisted of a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, denim shirt and pants, a bandana to wear over my face, my Ruger Bisley Vaquero w/ 51/2" barrel in a Texas Gunslinger rig, with 18 .357magnum Black Talon rounds in the loops ( gun was unloaded, of course ), and a Soligen German Steel Bowie...
WOW...She was way off...
turns out the "rifle" is a double-barrel sxs shotgun chambered for 2 3/4 inch 12 guage shells. It has a double trigger and the word Ranger on it...no serial number...other words found include: proof tested & patent April 20th, 1915. No reference to Sears at all...I have...
A female friend has a Sears lever action carbine with the word "Ranger" ( model ? ) and a patent date of 1915...but doesn't know the caliber. I've been to Google and the FaqFarm and found some info...like manufacturers such as Stevens, Savage, Marlin, and a little known company by the name of...
A female friend has an old Sears & Roebuck Firearm that she describes from memory ( hazy ) as a lever action carbine with Ranger series and a patent date of 1915 on it. I went to google and the faq farm but could not nail down a list. Does anyone know of a site where I can get a definitive list...
I carry my PPK/s in...

Got my copies of both Guns & American Handgunner in the mail last week...and I did read the review...which was favorable. I look forward to reading it soon...
My Marlin...
Model 80 was made in the 60's...and functions like it was made yesterday. It's a bolt action that fires 22 short, long, and long rifle from a detachable magazine. Currently, I looking at Marlin lever actions in the 1894 configuration.
My advice...check em out...
My carry piece...
is a Para Ordnance P12-45...all in black. Like our moderator, I bought mine used ( original owner didn't even run a box of 50 through it )...but unlike our moderator, never had a reliability issue. It's a true 1911a1, cocked & locked carry, like JMB designed it. Goes boom when...
