I've got one,I don't love it,Ruger P90sumthing.
Never noticed any recoil I don't like, but hammer bites me.
A friends .40 cal Witness is a dang fine weapon though,I can't miss with it,and recoil is low.
(May be snappy, but I never noticed,I'll pay more attention next time)
Kynoch, they're not,but if function was all it were about we'd all be shooting Mod 60s
I'm going to get one or the other, leaning 15-22 at the moment,it's for my little girl, she's never going to make 5'8" so she'd better get used to something she can carry.
I had one, like K4swb it was my first rifle, and like him I sold mine.
It worked perfectly and I kick myself every time I see one.
Accurate, and I didn't know that .22s were supposed to jam until I got my 597 Remington.
(597 is okay now,but man did it suck when I got it)
The question, I thought, was that he wanted my thoughts on this new carbine, and my thoughts on that subject were that he'd be better off buying a M1 carbine,I missed the part where he said he was looking for something to "share the same ammo as your pistol"
Strictly regarding the Carbine he was...
No,they chamber .30 Carbine,it's around .357mag ballistics,though I think the .357 has a little better energy at longer range.
I'm sure there would be a reason for a .45acp carbine, but I think the only reason I'd buy one is cause' the weapon looks cool.
My dad gave me a M1 carbine,and it's...
My .280 shoots the bearclaws really well,140Grains is more than is really needed with the whitetails, but better than not enough. A .260 is a new one on me.
funny thing about all the Ruger bashing,I've owned 3 of them,a Mini-14,a M77MKII and a SP101,they all were accurate as I think they should be.
The Mini was the closest to be a disappointment,it made 2-3" groups at 100yd...that was a problem if you were going to try and kill a thundering herd...
I think they thought it would make the barrel stiffer to make it triangular,at least that's what it claims on the Remington website.
It's not my favorite look,but I don't need another .223 anyway.
I voted Mosin, though when I'm in my truck I can either run over,or run away from any trouble I can Imagine,I've got a CCW for ID though, and I carry a handgun for the occasional critter that don't get across the road fast enough.
About the same power as a 06' and cheap, stripper clips make...
Yeah, they work good,.270s are a little hard on deer anyway, but if that's what you are hunting with they'll work fine.
Shoot them in the head or neck and save a little meat :)
Do you know how to shoot? does the thing ever jam? I hear lotsa racket about how this or that is a piece of crap cause' it ain't a pre 64' Model 70,my 700 has never jammed, neither has my Savage,if it's reliable and you are good with it,and know what it and you are capable of then you'll be...
A person would like to see what the RIFLE is capable of is all they are saying, other than that I'm sure most agree with you 1K
I love the CMP matches,they're a blast.
I'd trade a XD for it,if I needed a .270

ADL don't have the floorplate BDL does,so you can drop the rounds without running them through the action
I think it's funny you all rip on the Mini 14,the ones I have used shoot real well,I just shot a coyote the other day,170 yards with a rangefinder,I shot her head on,in the middle of the chest with the open sights it comes with.(cheap Federal 55grain FMJ)
It strings rounds if you heat the...
