The ejector is the stock Kimber one, which is extended but is not tuned as seen on this site: http://www.blindhogg.com/gunsmith/ejector.html. It is just squared off like the ejectors on my other Kimbers.
I don't think the barrel is the problem, but I might try swapping with my other pro...
Thanks. I am pretty sure it's an ejector issue. I just wanted to make sure there are no other potential causes before I start tuning the ejector.
Thanks. The extractor tension is good and it is not clocking.
I have a problem with a Kimber Pro Carry II ejecting spent brass back in the shooters face. The gun was purchased new several years ago and has always had this problem. Initially it sent about 33% on spent brass back in the shooters face. It is an internal-extractor model like a standard...
This is exactly what I was thinking. If you want a tackdriver, especially at longer ranges, you will need to use match-grade ammo. .308 match is much more available than .30-06 match.
I have an AK pistol that I built from an AMD-65 kit. From field positions, I use a sling to help stabalize, as other mentioned. If I shoot it from sandbags or an improvised rest, it is more accurate than most of my 7.62 AK rifles.
I found a local guy selling a TC Contender with a .233 14" barrel, hammer extension, bushnell magnum phantom 2.5x scope, and case. This appears to be an older model, not the G2. Finish is blued. Can anyone give their opinion on what a good price would be?
Thanks,
PAC
As a rule, I detest forward pistol grips, but I have left a few romy G builds with grips intact. It is ugly as sin, but for some unknown reason, ugly AK's look good. Like the mismatched plastic on bulgarian 74s and polish tantals, the ugliness of romanian forward grips just "work" on an AK.
Jeff Cooper's "To ride, shoot straight, and speak the truth" has a chapter on using .22lr as riot control. IIRC, the idea was to single-out the riot leader(s) and put a pill in their lungs. His rationale was that modern medical care made this non-lethal in most cases.
I've heard of the IDF...
IIRC, a gattling gun with a handcrank is legal, but a gattling that turns with a drill is illegal. The alphabet-soup gang consider the electric drill a "trigger". A crank is considered multiple trigger pulls, while a drill is one pull.
For instance, if I were to make a paddle for an...
I was watching a Myth Busters episode where they were trying to see how fast a single-action revolver could be fired. They built a rig to hold a cap & ball revolver with its trigger down. They then used a paddle attachment on an electric drill to fan the hammer. The result was more than one...
Black-box wolf 75gr .223 has a "bimetal" jacket that will not break up the way OTM bullets do. SGN had a write-up on them and even thew Wolf rep said it was not defensive ammo.
I am going through some old records trying to see what I can shred and have a question. I've transferred a couple handguns to residents of different states and have always done so legally by having an FFL holder do the paperwork. Do I need to save the receipts for these transfers?
For...
A couple cops were sent to a local gun shop to get rifles. The shop owner lent them a few AR15-type rifles and ammo, which turned the tide of the fight and saved police and civilian lives. The ever-helpful BATFE later charged or attempted to charge the gunshop owner with illegal transfer of...
