M1 Service Rifles
There were no M1 service rifles made during 1947 at Springfield Armory they made M1's from 1938 until late 1945, and then again from December 1952 until 1957. During 1947 they were re-building rifles until new production began in December 1952.
As far as .308 or 7.62 NATO...
Having been a cop since 1974 to present common sense tells me that if I am dealing with a CCH/CCW holder, then most likely if they are at that moment armed it would be with a legally posessed firearm, not a stolen one.
All the arrests I have made over the years that involved a "stolen"...
500K Rounds of Ammo
500K rounds of Ammo is such a small ammount it dosen't require any special storage requirements according to OHSA. Even as anal as they are, they say you must posess over 750K rounds before you have any special storage requirements.
M14's
According to Orest Michaels of the CMP, there are no surplus M14's . The M14's in government inventory are for active use. He even went so far to say a couple of years ago, that IF the once a machinegun always a machinegun law was changed, and IF there were surplus M14's that they would...

The first civilian AK's imported in the US were from Egypt.

The bottom is either a 1887 or a 1901 Winchester Shotgun if its a 1887 its either a .12ga or a .10Ga, if its a 1901 its a .10Ga it will be marked on the upper tang of the receiver where it fits into the stock, about where the web of your hand grasps the stock when shooting. The barrel will...
It's not A Colt Grip
Hi Sergeant Sabre, its not a Colt grip its a Pachmayr Vindicator, for an 870. The Pachmayer actually gives some unlike most PG's its acts as a shock absorber of sorts.
I picked up a sweet little Mossberg 590A1 18.5" heavy barrel, (51432) parkerized finish with a bantam shoulder stock from Rabbit Ridge in Ararat VA. The wife 5'4" 118 says it fits her perfect, for me 6'3" it's fit is pretty comfortable for a short stock, maybe she will let me shoot it some.
