    Problem with 1897 Winchester

I bought this 1897 for 169 bucks and it works perfectly, aside from the extractor not wanting to go around the shell. The right side extractor seems to lean too far in toward the interior of the receiver and wont fit around the rim of the shotgun shell in the chamber. Looking at the bolt, there...

    Love this Versa Carry holster

Sorry, yes the gun does go in further. I just quickly stuffed it back in the holster to take a photo on my range table because I thought the brass looked cool.

    Love this Versa Carry holster

Just wanted to share a photo of this little holster. That's my Glock 43 in it. If you're like me and really prefer an OWB holster to an IWB, I can't recommend one of these enough. This one is made of buffalo, I believe, and I was honestly surprised how freaking nice it is, especially for the...

A wish for the rebirth of classic pocket revolvers

The closest thing to what I want is the 1860 NAA 22mag in 3 inch with birds head grips. I'd prefer it in 32.

    Welded breech plug?

I'm building a simple muzzle loading pistol, and I was just curious about this. I am threading a breech plug, but is there any particular reason I can't screw it in and then weld it too?

    Ruger Sp101

I loved the weight, the sights, and the grip. I actually wish they had a 6" version, but 4 may allow it to conceal easy and be an all around good sidearm. I like that the 327 can do near-357 power, 32 short/long, 32 hr magnum, and 32 acp. Still, 38 special and 357 mag is the ol standby.

    Ruger Sp101

I'm looking at ruger sp101 4+" barrel. I'm trying to decide between the 357 and 327. I only have about one more question. I have handled a 327 but not a 357. Is the 357 the exact same size and near same weight as the 327, just 5 round instead of 6?

A wish for the rebirth of classic pocket revolvers

...platform. Very concealable, very shootable, VERY cool. A classically-inspired revolver alternative to the LCP, p3AT, Seacamp, et al. Please let me know if anyone has bothered to read this, and let me know what you think. Thanks! Thanks, C*** J****** Revolver and History Lover Extraordinaire

    Affordable scroll engraving?

Ok thank you. Halliburton got back to me and said 2-300. Seems reasonable, no?

    Affordable scroll engraving?

I have a springfield 1911 I would like to have partially engraved. I dont need anything one of a kind or fancy- thos aint a 3000 dollar gun. This gun is polished stainless on the side of the slide and matte/bead blasted on top of the slide. See the picture below. I want some classic scrollwork...

    357 cost per round

Gah... I don't know what to do! I have a 357 20" lever and a 5.5" 1873 revolver. I only plink and shoot targets informally. Other guns are all 9mm (which I don't want to reload/pick up my brass) or blackpowder, so no immediate plans to reload anything but 357/38. Should I just buy cheap ammo, or...

    357 cost per round

thinking of picking up a lee pro 1000 to start loading 357 magnum. Just curious what you guys end up paying per round to reload 357 these days. I can buy as low as .30 cents per round. Hoping i can reload closer to 20 per round.

    Your holster location (IWB)

I may just need to get a smaller pistol to carry when printing is a huge concern. I carry for work (im mobile. I go all over the state), and I'm technically not allowed to.

    Your holster location (IWB)

I'm most comfortable at 330-4 but i print too much. At 1, it digs into my gut (just a small gut lol) when i sit.

    Your holster location (IWB)

Recently, I've been experimenting with different holster locations for carrying my glock 19. As usual, the only place that doesn't print like crazy when I bend or the wind blows my overshirt against my body is the 1 o'clock position, just right of my fly. Not overly comfortable when sitting, but...

    Anyone own S&W 686 revolvers?

I love long barreled 357's. I was thinking about picking up the 7" or the Talo 7" soon. I'm assuming, being a smith, that they are good quality guns and it will outlive me. Any input positive or negative on the gun, or is there another gun I should consider as well in the sub-800 dollar price range?

    Sig cust. serv.

Glad to hear it. I bought my first sig not long ago, and did so hoping I'd be buying a gun from a company I could count on.

    Side by side with hammers?

While I've got you all here, why aren't there any threads in the shotgun section? Seems to be a lot of folks browsing here, but not posting.
