One problem with most magazines be it stick or drum is the spring.
You don't have that problem with a belt fed gun.
It also doesn't take nearly as long to load a new belt as some have implied.
Let's not go down that whole road of what firearms were originally designed for.

This is a gun thread. Not a 4th amendment thread.
Your type of faith in the so called gun-community needs a lot of work.
Of course it is not the ONLY one we should be concerned about. But there is such a thing as being "forum" appropriate.
This is after all a gun topic related forum. Just like the NRA is a gun related organization.

I think the very idea of a firearm permit is repugnant and flies in the face of freedom.
I have owned firearms for most of my adult life and I have never had to have a permit to do so.
