I still have some of the Taurus bullets and love the fact they are standard pressure.
I believe the bullet is the same, as Barnes changed the name from XPB to Tac-XP
I have also tried the Black Hills Tac-XP 185gr. +P load and they shoot very well with a slight increase in felt recoil. These are...
I'm confused about what model Xd you are referring to.
There is no such thing as an XD45 subcompact.
There is an XD45 compact with a 4" barrel and shorter grip with a 10 round mag and a 13 rd mag with a grip extension giving it a full size grip.
There is also the XDS in 45 which I don't think...
I would choose Gold Dots of the two simply because the Gold Dots can be easily found in 50 round LE boxes for not much more than the PDX1 in 20 round boxes.
Winchester Ranger 147 gr.(RA9T) in my PM9 most of the time but I would also be comfortable with 147gr. Federal HST or 115+P Barnes XPB,Tac-XP(loaded by Corbon, Federal or Black Hills)
The TLR-1 is a great light but I personally wouldn't call it a "quick detach" light which is one of the requirements the thread starter requested.
I'm not sure about the TLR-3 but it appears to mount the same way as the TLR-1.
Maybe something like this would better suit his needs...
I e-mailed Doubletap and they do still use the Gold Dot for the Bonded Defense.
I got confused because the thread was TAP(which uses the XTP) bullet and they used to use that and switched to montana gold.
