I'm in the market for an Insight X2L (apparently the only laser/light combo that will fit on my PX4SC) and found it for a really good price at gunshopfinder.com.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in buying from their online store as I haven't been able to find much about them...
Hey 9mm.
I was wondering if the LaserLyte you have is the "LL-1 LaserLyte Combo Sub-Compact Laser and Flashlight System" and if so if you could give me any details on the strength of the white light, ease of taking off and on, sighting in, etc.
I've been looking for a laser/light combo...
Searcher: When I went to the Beretta USA site and looked at the list of authorized warranty repair centers, I noticed the place I originally bought it from (Midwest Gun Works) was on the list. Since it's the closest to me geographically and I had bought the gun from them to begin with that's the...
I've been wondering about this recently as well.
While I know the chances of having to defend yourself in your home with a firearm are remote, I would like to keep my kid and I's hearing intact if it should come down to it.
I would like to incorporate a suppressor into my home defense...
Omaha - Apparently it's a Beretta thing. They don't pay for the shipping on warranty repairs (to them).
Had the same type of customer service from the company that made my LCD monitor (Acer). When it had problems under warranty I had to bundle up the 24 inch widescreen and pay to ship it to...
lol
That'd be horrible.
"We left your 600 dollar handgun on your front step where the neighbor kids could swipe it"
I'll talk to Midwest Gunworks (people doing the warranty repair) and ask them to send it for pick-up only? That what I'd be asking for?
I had to send my Beretta PX4 SC in for warranty repair (cost me 55 bucks to ship it :cuss:).
I was wondering about the shipping back to me. I'm not at home much during the day and I live in an apartment complex.
1. Does the UPS man specifically know that there's a firearm in the package...
Just saw on the news last night where two guys posing as utility workers (one with some kind of utility worker vest) did a home invasion here in Lexington, Kentucky. The victim was a retired fire chief who was hit/beaten but luckily lived.
Not sure what that adds to the thread but it's not...
I see your Orange Crush and raise you a red Cobra "Commander".
Yes, I still own it (though it was a gift) and consider it a decent conversation piece. :D
I thought one of the best things about it is that you attach the cable to your seat rail. Seems like that would be pretty difficult to get around in the normal amount of time someone would be leaving a gun in their car.
That said, concealed compartments are definitely an interesting idea...
lol @ the poopie pants method above
I think I'm going to get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Secure-It-Secure-It%C2%AE-Handgun-Storage-Safe/dp/B000HBB15U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1250112573&sr=8-1
Seems like it would eliminate any smash and grab type thieves.
I'm no expert (not sure what the "M" designates) but I used to have a 1st or 2nd gen Glock 20. Even as a newbie I never had any issues with the recoil.
I plan on getting another at some point in the future.
No offense intended, GRIZ22, and I appreciate the response, but I think you're missing the point of the thread.
I'm entirely in agreement with:
However, given that almost all (if not all) modern 9mm JHP should feed reliably in my Beretta and should all be approximately of the same accuracy...
hardluk1: Are those EFMJ?
Steve C, mgkdrgn: I believe that used to be the norm. However, it seems that the newest 147gr JHPs are designed to expand reliably at lower velocities. While I've seen both opinions, out of all of the actual tests I've seen the 147gr HST still expands reliably even at...
