ammo can last along time in extreme temperature changes. storage in garage or spare room of the house is really of no big concern..... best to store in old ammo can. My early yrs in the service, the mid 80's....I remember shooting ammo from the vietnam era, and even .50 cal ammo produced...

I reload for CETME, I use about 10 different type of head stamped brass. I try to keep to military brass, and try to stay to IMR4198, 38 gr and 147-150 FMJ bullet. Not really noticing any difference in accuracy. I hit what I am shooting at. But I am not shooting in long distance match...
You can fire form a ctg. But you need some kind of resistance to retard chamber pressure. try just shooting a wax bullet. western style shooters shoot them all the time. Can make one out glue sticks, bee wax, or potters clay. You can even use a blank shooting adapter as well.......just need...
