OP here: i was able to find out it was steel case ammo, Russian but i don't know the brand. it was cheaper than anything else there and he didn't know any better. still don't know if the ammo is the problem. hopefully he can bring it to me this week.
i thank everyone for your help.
i thank everybody who's attempting to help. i know i haven't given enough info. my friend lives 50 miles away and i don't think he has internet access.
i doubt if he's ever even heard of steel cased ammo. if he can get it up here to me in the next few days i can post some useful information. he...
this query is a bit vague. i am hoping to get more info later, but here's what i've got for now. my friend bought an AR from a pawnshop, either 223 or 556. he took it out and shot it and the case of the 1st round hung up in the chamber and won't come out. he doesn't have a rod to tap it out and...
i've read up on it a little. it can be a decent rifle for those who can strip, clean and lubricate it. i am not really a hunter anymore (but never was any good at hunting. never even killed a deer.) and i'm not willing to take it apart. so i'm going to try to put it up for sale and put whatever...
i made a thread about the 30-30 my father gave me, but there's more. he also gave me a Remington 7400 30-06 and a scope. i can't get any pictures up of it right now but will do it later.
i did a search and read about this gun and was not too happy with what i read. a "jamomatic", apparently...
thank you much for the info. i looked at the link, not only no, but hell no, i'm not going to take it apart! i mean, sure, i could get it apart. but putting it back together, uh, not so much.
as far as i know, it will shoot as it is right now. i bought a box of bullets and i will try it out in...
My father just gave me this rifle. he left it in his truck for a couple of years. then he thought it had been stolen, but we found it in a gun case in the back of a closet today. my mom has a talent for hiding things. she could hide a tractor in a drawer.
so you can see, i got a bunch of rust...
yes, i read an article from Fish and Wildlife that armadillos are showing up in western kentucky. no reason they can't move to central kentucky. i have no idea what kind of sounds they make.
this was your first encounter with a sasquatch. you need to get some high-end camera gear and start hanging out around there. a really good photo or video footage would be worth a fortune.
my present place in the evolution is a SW 65 loaded with 38 HP, SW 686+ loaded with 357 HP, and a charter arms undercover loaded with cast bullets that i found on my shelf. don't know when or where i got them.
revolvers because they don't require much thinking and are generally reliable. i...
