i agree. shot placement is the key to it all. i used a 100gr fusion out of my 243 and it hit a 150lb doe hard. very good penatration. just wondering how it would preform on larger game.

thanks rc the only book i have is hornadys 8th edition. there for i mainly load hornady bullets. it seems as if im not seating enough of the bullet in the case when seating at 2.690" i loaded a few at 48gr with varget powder and my OAL is 2.690. i will try them out tomorrow.

rc i looked at that but wasnt sure if it would be safe to make a comparison like that. i will go look again. thank you

oh i loaded some other rounds up for my AR 15 with out a crimp and they seemed to load and function just fine. i shot two and ejected the third and i measured out just fine. thanks guys

i chamfer all my cases just a touch to help seating. the bullets are 60gr V-max flat base so this could have happened.

i measured all the cases and were all within .001" of each other would that make the differance? but its good to know i dont need to crimp these rounds. thanks a lot guys

ive been playing with hornady GMX bullets in my 300wsm. they compare to the barns triple x but its construction is 90% copper and 10% zinc making the bullet a little harder and shorter. weight retention is great with the gmx.
