to start with i visited hogdons site, hornadys site and other sites i could think of. im looking for the loading data for a 110gr sp using varget powder. i saw it in a lyman reloading manual at the store but forgot what the loads where. im looking at reloading for varmits and thought this could be a fun round to play with. thanks for the help in advance. jeremy

Go back to Hodgdons site and use the data for 110 grain Barnes.

The XFB is a solid copper bullet, longer then a cup & core bullet of the same weight.

As such, the data for it is safe with conventional bullets.

If you notice, it is the same charge weights as the 125 grain Sierra, and your 110 is lighter, and safer.

That means it is seated deeper being an all copper bullet lighter than lead it is longer. Because it's seated deaper it would normally have a reduced charge to get the same velocity as the shorter bullet. So their data would reflect that.

Being as such, like RC said, you would be safe using that data.

Don't necessarily believe the Hodgdon/Barnes OAL = Seating depth though.
As the ogive shape is going to be different then the Hornady bullets.

Hornady manual lists the:
110 V-Max OAL as 2.740".
110 SP is 2.690".
110 RN & FMJ is 2.515".

thanks rc the only book i have is hornadys 8th edition. there for i mainly load hornady bullets. it seems as if im not seating enough of the bullet in the case when seating at 2.690" i loaded a few at 48gr with varget powder and my OAL is 2.690. i will try them out tomorrow.
