Happy Father's Day! :)
Sons, give your Dads a call. Dads, give your sons a hug.
Since I can't call my Dad, I'll just give my son a double serving of hugs instead....;)
(Bringing the Diamondback out to the range today as well. :D)
The CZ 452 has excellent iron sights and is very accurate. It's really hard to beat if you're wanting teeny-tiny groups.
For all-around plinking, however, I find the Marlin 39a and Ruger 10/22 lots more fun (and plenty accurate, to boot). My CZ just stays home nowadays.
It would have to be a 220 of some sort, and I LOVE my G21 SF and XD 45 Tactical, too.
And I agree w/ chupacabrah: GunLvrNLearner, you need to LEARN how to use the SEARCH function! As of today, you have TEN separate threads on the first two pages, many of which are on subjects already...
Lots of people get much improved trigger pulls by simply installing a Volquarsen sear.
Visit www.rimfirecentral.com for more feedback and links to sources.
Good luck.
Likes:
--Superbly accurate and reliable
--Nice fit and finish
--Nice triggers OTOB (DA is heavy, but SA breaks crisp)
--Genius iron sights. Really the only non-black irons I can shoot well. I totally dig the way the rear sight is scalloped--cuts down on glare and helps you line up the...
If this were a poll, the winner would clearly be Glock.
Above all else, a gun's gotta to boom when you pull the trigger. In this, the Glock has an unparallelled track record. It sets the standard. No one says "as reliable as a Beretta" or "as reliable as an M&P," even though they may in...
If you're simply plinking and not shooting serious bullseye competitions, the Browning and the Ruger are fantastic choices. Even if you're shooting bullseye, there are some competitiors that still shoot Rugers and Brownings, although there are better and more expensive choices out there (S&W...
All you need is this: http://cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=35 Works on any CZ 75/85.
I paid $250 for mine and use it on my CZ 75b Tactical. My friend also has one and uses it on his 75b Compact. Awesome conversion kit. You can switch back and forth w/o problems. They're available...
Ditto the CZ Kadet. Looks like a regular CZ 75b, but it's a really high quality .22 pistol (available as a .22lr conversion kit for CZ 75b's).
I've read mixed reviews about the Mosquito and G22, FWIW. I'd do a search here and on Sigforums on both before buying.
If you're not dead set...
OMG, I so want a Witness. :(
Anyways, I do own an X5 and a Matt Mink custom CZ SP-01, so I'm pretty good as far as uber-accurate 9mm's go. X5 cost twice as much as the SP-01, but you wouldn't know it shooting both side by side! Talk about bang for the buck! :p
It's always a big +1 in my book when the owner/designer of said product stands behind his products on gunboards. :)
I'm gonna gets me a Giraud trimmer, even if I gotta sell lemonade on a sidewalk for a week!
And I missed the "massed produced" part, but I did get the "best" part (hence the RRA mention). Thing is, "best" and "mass produced" are something of an oxymoron. Given the OP's parameters, the Kimber is as "best" as any other offering in that particular category.
Oh, and since we're...
Only other 9mm 1911 I have experience with is a friend's Kimber 9mm. Accurate gun, nice trigger, but IIRC it did have a few hiccups, even with the Cobra mags. I'd say it's a keeper nevertheless.
