Thanks for reminding me of another stupid move I made as a young man. ;-). Had a beautiful 4” specimen and parted ways with it for whatever reason. Along with the 6” Model 14 K38 masterpiece. What an idiot I was…..
I’ve got a SiCo Sparrow that works well. It stays on my Ruger American .22. I also have a Griffin Optimus Micro that i use on my AR’s…it’s versatile, .22LR to 22-250 if you have thoughts on using it elsewhere.
I don’t know about best, but I’ve had the RCBS Rockchucker on the left since about 1980. It has always served me well and still serves as my primary press for resizing. I would not hesitate to buy another.
I don’t own any I won’t shoot, but for various reasons I have several I haven’t shot. I no longer sell guns. I figure what I own sitting in my safe are better than money in the bank. If I live long enough, every one that I own will be shot, if not hopefully my heirs will enjoy them.
I own several Pythons, acquired over the past 35 years. Anacondas and Diamondbacks as well. Mostly investment guns, but I’m not afraid to shoot them. I’ve got a 4” Python that I had worked over by Mag-na-port 30+ years ago that is my #1 go to 357. I’ve shot it a ton over those years with no...
Mag-na-port offers a “velvet hone” finish for stainless guns which I believe is a fine glass bead blasted finish. I’ve had them do one for me and it’s beautiful. I’ve successfully recreated the look of that finish on my own by glass bead blasting. I’ve found that by increasing the coarseness...
S&W Model 14 K38 masterpiece. First handgun for me. Late 1970’s vintage. Thought I needed a magnum. Same era Colt Gold Cup. 1st semi-auto pistol for me. Had reliability issues. In hindsight, probably a magazine issue. Live and learn.
I have the Micro CDP. Great gun...accurate, easy to carry, 100% reliable. Can't ask for anymore. No experience with the SIG but undoubtedly a nice gun.
After trying several apps and stand alone GPS's, my favorite by far is Motion-X GPS app for iPhone. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, so the big screen is definitely a nice feature. I think the app is very intuitive, and feature filled. As far as accuracy goes, assuming you let it locate a sufficient...
I like the Leupold FX series of fixed power scopes. I recently put one on my Henry 44 mag. To me, they have a nice traditional look, and are relative compact and light weight. The optics are typical Leupold...nice and clear.
Highly recommend http://www.simplyrugged.com/
Lots of options based on carry style and gun. I've got several for different guns. Latest for my P220 10mm. Can be used strong side, cross draw, or cross chest with the optional chest rig.
One of my first Pythons...ported, action job, and hard chrome plating by Mag-na-port 25-30 years ago. In hindsight, probably not the best choice for resale, but it has given me thousands of rounds of pleasure. No regrets.
