I bought a Mossberg 930 SPX several years ago, as the shotgun portion of my 3 pronged HD setup. It's proven itself with a variety of loads, from light game to 00 buck. About 6 months ago, my buddies wanted to shoot shotguns at a friend's house, who has a lot of land. The idea was clay targets...
I've owned and shot 10mm for over 3 decades. Reason? Don't really care for revolvers, and in the late 80s the Colt Delta Elite was pretty much the only game in town which was equal to, or better than .357 Mag. I used it for hiking the Hiawatha National Forest, and generally had it on me in the...
Don't particularly like revolvers. Own only one, a Ruger Redhawk in .44 Magnum, and even back in the 80s, when I bought it, only because I thought it the most beautiful revolver made. Guess I'd still like to have the right .32 Mag, which is the only other revo I was ever interested in.
Well, I'm an RSO also, and I think he's being ridiculous. Maybe he simply felt sanctimonious. I have a few guns in my safe that remain loaded. Also some magazines for others that stay loaded. Different than my EDCs which remain loaded and are sitting out even when they are not on me at present...
Which is why I think (only in 2A matters) all states should be like mine. It has always been an OC state, and since the early 2000s, it has been also "shall issue." A shirt riding up is a common thing in my area, but the lack of law against OC prevents that from being an issue. What's...
I do both. In summer, I open carry. In winter, I conceal carry, simply because I have a coat over it. Have had a CPL since 02, but have carried openly since the 80s. CPL is good for both, and Michigan has always allowed for OC, as it should be in every state.
Never for me. As my eyes age, I find the smaller red dots, like my Vortex Venom, are too hard to pick up the tiny FOV. Therefore, I am relegated to large tube red dots, like the Tasco Pro-point for my steel challenges, and leave iron sights for my carry weapons.
With our fearless leader, we have gone back to having to get purchase permits, even with a CPL. So far, even with the extra hoops, it's been relatively painless. Gotta be the county though-I wouldn't expect this from Wayne or Oakland.
I've got a PA-10 also, with a Geissele triggered lower. I also won a Savage 110 Tactical in 6.5 CM last year. So far at 100 yards the PA-10 is the more accurate, though I haven't yet tried either at 300. Looking to do that with both this year. If it remains as is, the PA-10 will be my long range...
I don't like cleaning guns-period, full stop. Doesn't matter if they're as painful as a Ruger mark 2, or as simple as a Mark 4, either, one simply takes less time-it's still a pain. I've talked to people that say they love it, so I offer to let them clean mine. Strange thing is-no takers.
I find...
I had an RF ablation last week in the lumbar region. Second one, the first was June of last year. They sever the nerves in your back, so you don't feel the pain anymore. Basically it's putting off major surgery until surgery gets better. Sure was great for about 6 months. Hopefully, it's longer...
Yes. The Versacarry Commanders I generally use for carry provide a extra mag slot, so I use them. Plus the 1911 primary and the M&P Shield secondary are low capacity guns.
Colt Delta Elite, my woods carry for the first 20 years.
Glock 29, my woods carry for the last 13 years. Cuz you simply can't ugly up a Glock in the woods.
