My friend is a new hunter in Ohio and shoots a Marlin 1895GS (45-70). He has XS Pic Rail with ghost rings and wants to mount an intermediate or long eye relief scope (see photos).
The first photo is a pic of his rail and the second is the setup he is shooting for.
His shots will be between...
Guys,
Need a little help. I need to sell my "like new" Dillon 550B set up. In this case "Like New" means this press has been pulled less than 50 times with the 45 ACP dies. The other two powder measure, caliber conversion kits and dies have not been touched. I have 3 powder quick change...
Trying to decide on first load. Load will be for practice and plinking.
I measured some WWB 45 ACP and came up with the following for OAL:
1.269
1.268
1.269
1.267
1.273
1.266
I've never had a problem shooting WWB in my 45s so will go with 1.260.

New to reloading & have a ?
Doing some practice ACP rounds with just brass & bullet. On the crimp die there is a metallic click or pop at the bottom of my stroke. I know it's the die crimping the round but is the sound and sticking normal?
Thanks Much
It's a beginners question so be nice.
I am setting up my Dillon 550B for 45 ACP. Trying to work on the proper OAL. My reloading manual says 1.260 for BERRY's 230gr. RND. Had fits trying to get close to 1.260. Closest I can get is 1.250 - 1.258ish . The nose still does not reach the end...
Guys sorry if this is a stupid question.
Would it make sense to buy a 16" Noveske (or other) 300 BLK now & convert to SBR later? That way I can shoot & have fun while I am trudging through the stamp process to obtain the barrel.
As far as the Forms go I assume I would have to get the...
Guys -
I have a Colt LE6920 and would like to add a SBR 300 BLK 10.2" to my collection. I am not schooled in the forms required.
Assuming I could find a complete SBR (like a Noveske) how would I do the paperwork? Most of the questions and threads I see are on builds and not buying a...
The list of guns I'm interested in is always getting longer.
I am intrigued by the 300 BLK, either as a 2nd AR or as a 2nd upper for my LE6920.
I like the opportunity to reload by trimming 223 cases, having a 30cal option, having something quite (supeessed) and being able to use my Pmags...
Guys - I have two presses on Strong Mounts (CoAx & Dillon 550B) with a tight reloading space. It would be best if I could have one mounting location on the bench and just use one press at a time.
I am looking for quick change ideas & how to quickly fasten to the table. Quick change ideas...
Out of the component suppliers who has the good "overall pricing" and good customer service. Good customer service meaning things either ship quick OR ship when the company tells you they will (some vendors are being very honest about ship delays). Good customer service also means you can call...
I have a stock Colt LE6920 and want to shop for some plinking/fun Bullets. I know there aren't many available but figured I'd start looking.
Can you guys tell me what your favorite plinking bullets are for the 6920?
Thanks
Thought it might be helpful to have a list of the online retailers that are price gouging & those who are not.
If gouging is to strong a word you can think of it any way you like - big mark ups, keystoning, etc...
Please spare me the explanation of Supply & Demand. I have a degree in...
I wanted to keep reloading for my Garand VERY simple so I've been shopping for IMR4895 (Absolutely no luck).
If I do find some can I also use it for my Colt LE6920?
If not, I need to find one or two rifle powders that will work for .223, 243, 270, 308, AR & Garand.
I'm not going to be...
Wanted to see if everyone would be willing to share Tumbling recipes. Whether it be dry or wet, materials you use, how much time and any other tips & tricks.
I know some use walnut, corncob or some mixture of the two. Some others have all kinds of different wet tumbling methods.

Rifle Die Selection
I need to shop for some rifle dies for the CoAx.
Calibers to reload:
243
270
308 (Bolt and Garand)
30-06 (Bolt and Garand)
A few questions:
1. I have read that I do not necessarily need small base dies for the Garand. However, since I don't have dies yet...
Thought this thread might be useful to help THR members avoid frustrations when waiting for components.
I have ordered several components lately & here are experiences with shipping times.
