Because we are a small minority of people. Most people do not care about "gun rights". I'm an NRA member but I am not a "1 issue" guy. We let way too many far right wing nuts into our camp to ever become mainstream. You may flame me for that but you know it's true.
I'm thinking of picking up a New England Handi-Rifle in 22 Hornet. My question is this. With the 22 and 17 rimfire shortages/prices, Why isn't the Hornet more popular? I searched and only the Handi-rifle is available for under $500+. It seems to me that the Hornet would make a fine substitute...
Check these out. A guy makes them and sells them on eBay. I really like mine! He makes them for other brands as well. Here is the link to his eBay profile. (It's not me)

Got mine today from Midway. Red, White, and Blue was all they had so I took it. I love it for seating, decapping, crimping. Not so much for resizing. Takes much more effort than I thought it would. If I had it to do over, not sure I'd buy it for $225. $150 yes. I do like how it sits on top of...
I like the look and feel of 1911's, but there is no way I'd trust one as a carry gun/nightstand gun over my Glock. JMO. Far too many little glitches or kinks with it. For the record, I've had no problems with my 1911's.
I agree with you all, I just never caught on that a lot of it has to do with selling guns. New cartridge = new gun.
And when I mentioned 308 instead of 30-06, that was just because 308 is used by the military so I assume it would be more plentiful.
And even if you hunted every animal on the...
I'm not knocking variety, I just think it's too much. Personally, I'll never own a rifle in anything besides 223 or 308. IMO, those or their brass/bullets will be around long after I'm gone.
So I was reading this article and got to thinking. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/02/robert-farago/6-5-grendel-new-300-blackout/
Maybe if we didn't make about 5000 different cartridges, of which about 4990 overlap, we wouldn't have ammo shortages. I just don't understand it. Why so...
I had a PPQ and loved it. No problems in about 1k rounds. Fit my hand perfectly. Only sold it for a Glock 19. (Just to standardize mags with my others)
My 1993 Marlin 60. First gun I bought when I turned 18. It's pretty beat up now but still runs like a champ. Paid Less than $150 for it new at Service Merchandise.
That's what I'm getting at. Allowing them to be hunted in the parks. I don't see the downside? If it's truly a problem, allow hunting. I assume they could be hunted from an "air boat" or some kind of boat.
