Blame it on China?
I too was shocked at the price when I went to Dicks this weekend. I asked the clerk what was the reason and he said, (insert banjo background music here) "China is buying up all the lead in the world because they are building a new nuclear reactor and need it for lining the...
I have a 7.62x39 round that FTF. How do I pull the bullet. I am not a reloader and just wanna see what my round looks like unfired. When the bullet comes out of the brass will GP come out? Is there any risk of the round going off in my hands? Pardon the newbie questions, but I wanna be safe...
My buddy just got this from his late uncle. Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics.
Markings are:
Charles Harvan
Castilian Grade
Spain
It has a pointing dog engraved on it.
It does not say on it what gauge or shell length.
Good points. If I decide to go totally custom, should I consider just buying the parts and skip the initial complete gun purchase? In the long run would it be cheaper this way? In other words, buy the stock I want. a reciever, a trigger group, Barrel I want, etc?

Well I wouldn't consider myself a "SKS guy". I am more of a shot gunner making the cross over. Money is an issue, but time is not. I have no problem waiting till the budget allows for the extras. Or getting them one by one as time goes by. 200 yards is more than I need. My local range...
Just accurate plinking. I only take along what I plan to shoot. With the 7.62x39 surplus prices going up up up, I figured 22lr would be good to shoot all day with a few sks pops mixed in for adrenaline purposes. Make sense or am I dreaming?
I am looking to get a rifle that is accurate and cheap to shoot. Enter the 22lr. What do you all recomend? Bull bbl? I like the look of the thumbhole stock, but how do they handle. What optics for 100 to 200 yds. Is a 10/22 really what i am needing. I have an sks, which is no tack driver...
