Just had one of these completely apart to fix a weak bolt spring. Not the easiest DA revolver action I've had apart and back together, but it works now and the bolt drops into the cylinder notches as it should.
Anyways, i had them all out and I've never taken a photo of my M10's together, so...
I'm trying to get at the bolt and bolt spring for a s&w 10-5 to correct a problem with the bolt skipping notches.
Right now I've got it down to the trigger and bolt. It's my first time into the guts of a S&W, I've only had to open up Colts.
I have followed the YouTube instructions, I'm at the...
I'll say outright, I was expecting this gun to go for at least double the hammer price. Its a nice all original gun with box and has some rare features.
I didn't bid because I didn't think this gun would be anywhere near my price range. It still isn't, but its a lot closer than I thought it...
Hi all, looking for experience and recommendations.
I just bought a Wolff K/L/N standard strength power rib spring kit with 3 different rebound spring weights,
and of the guns I have to try it in, which do you think would see the most benefit, or best show what the kit can do?
Please vote your...
Here's another one that came out of gun jail this week.
An RHKP surplus S&W 10-7.
The RHKP carried M10's for a few decades before they were worn enough that they decided to order replacements. Once the replacement M10's arrived the RHKP decided nah, we are going to use Glocks. So the majority of...
Ironically enough I found this while I was proving the point on another thread that there are still affordable old Winchesters out there that anybody can access.
Found on Gunsinternational.com, this uncleaned right out of the box as I received it, except for the replaced stock screw.
1894...
What a bleepshow,
Last week I went on a much deserved vacation to Vegas with friends, catch a few shows with friends, spend some disposable income on something other than guns.
Well dang, lucky I prepaid for every event we planned on going to, all rooms, fees, and booked a place within walking...
I posted about this a while ago, and it just came in.
Seems this was sitting in the attic of a small lgs somewhere until they shut down and cleared out inventory, then it made its way to me.
New and still in the box,
Colt DS-II, as it rolled off the factory floor.
Very rare 4" barrel.
The DS-II...
I finally got the backorder of brass that I've
been waiting on so I've been feeling saucy about .32-20's.
The more I shoot the .32-20 the more I like it.
So when I was at one of my online honey holes clearing a layaway, I took a little time to browse the inventory and I found this for $600...
This was signed into law this last week.
Just made the rounds and talked with the LGS's.
Every single one of them will be either shutting down or is in hiatus with the anticipation of shutting down thanks to Wa.'s new anti gun laws pertaining to FFL's.
I can squeak through a few more transfers...
Finally got to see the S&W heritage that I bid on, the auction pictures were washed out and you couldn't see colors or patterns at all.
I have yet to see a Turnbull finished gun that I didn't like though.
When I got to see this one in person it didn't disappoint.
First off, I get that to many people the term doesn't apply, everything is meant to, and will be shot.
There are people who are also very meticulous and can shoot a gun without putting much, if any visible wear on it.
But there are those, and im admittedly in this group, who for whatever reason...
Mods, my apologies if this breaks any rules, I have no affiliation with anything I list.
I see a lot of things go by that are great deals that I wish I could afford, but alas due to other commitments, cannot. So,
I thought it would be fun to start a thread on all the gun deals that I, and...
And I am officially tapping out for the month on revolvers. This one makes three and I wasn't planning on getting another one, but I've always wanted one of these and couldn't resist the price.
I don't know a whole lot about the Heritage series, other than they were a limited performance center...
I threw a $1200 bid down on this 5% finish Colt SAA that's loose with a rough bore. I thought that was a darn good bid for what amounts to a parts gun.
Nope. Hammered down at $1850.

I also put a bid down on this 1924 Colt Officers Model 38 for $550...
Last week I bought a box of pistol boxes, arriving today while I was at work.
Also
Today I received an email that I unexpectedly won a Hong Kong police/customs S&W M10 for cheap via online auction. Set a $450 bid last week and got the invoice today out of the blue.
Nice.
So I got home in a...
I've got a Colt Detective Special that, according to Colt was made in 1980. It identifies as an Agent because at some point someone screwed an Agent barrel on it, but its still a steel frame gun that I'm sure Colt would letter as a Detective Special.
As far as it goes its not in bad shape, but...
My spying eyes have found this for sale. Unfortunately I know nothing about these, despite owning a Detective special and being a fan. From what I can find, this was the last gasp of the Detective Special, made for only a few years in the late '90's. Most were 2", a few were in 3", and very rare...
Drill sergeant shoots first perfect score at Army marksman course
A drill sergeant who trains new recruits to be infantry soldiers became the first to shoot a perfect score over the five weeks of an Army course for marksmanship instructors.
Staff Sgt. Do Hwan Yi shot a perfect 170-out-of-170 on...
