Let me give you an example - last Friday we were having a cookout (at work, for lunch). We have one every few months.
An SUV pulls up. We don't know who it is. All we know is that it's 4 guys. One guy gets out, starts walking to the door.. bloodshot eyes, pants down below his knees, you know...
I live in Indiana. I'm possibly going to be moving to KY soon (it's just 10 minutes away, looking at apartments on both sides of the river) and was wondering if my IN lifetime permit would be suitable since it is also honored in KY? What I'm asking is, will I have any trouble living in KY...
Yeah, it's the pin that's in picture 3, that has been removed, dropping the trigger group. Needle nose pliers are a good idea.. this doesn't seem to budge, though, but that's another option.
I can get a photo later on tonight when I get home from work if needed. Also, I wasn't planning on...
I really like the sturdy wood from the older 870's. Mine is a mess but I know it's not going to fall apart (seems that way with some newer ones). The barrel is only half blued (more or less), but I know I'm holding a sturdy gun.
I would recommend cleaning it first (if you haven't already)...
I hope someone can answer a question I have.
First off, I have to join in the praise of this thread. Thanks P95!
My bolt is real "sandy" feeling, rough, you all know what I'm talking about.
I just can't get the little split pin out - the one that "retains the trigger group".
I have...
I'm both. A novice at both. I have been bitten by the "history" bug - it's never interested me until I picked up a Mosin and some surplus ammo. Not the most noteworthy collector's item by far, but it makes you think. When i got my SKS a while back, I didn't get the bite. I am in the process of...
I have read of several suicides being carried out with a .22lr pistol/revolver. I don't know if these were "gun people" or not; most likey not; because I doubt someone knowledgeable in firearms of different calibers would choose something like .22lr., that is if they REALLY wanted to die...
Hmmm.. maybe this is obvious, but I have looked at the cylinder, and I cannot figure out how to remove it. I have looked through the manual also. I will continue trying to figure it out, I would guess it's obvious, and I'm just overlooking it.
I noticed the cylinder on my Taurus 605 has very stiff rotation. I clean the gun after every time shooting, yet it seems that the stiffness is occurring because of some accumulation in the front. Can anyone tell me if I should/if I even can/ take the cylinder off the gun and clean it? It's still...
I think you have a right to rant and no one can really say for sure either way, whether it was bigots or just people in a bad mood.
I know that my favorite gun shop has a very intelligent guy working there; he knows his stuff. One day he's real nice to me and talks a lot, the next time I'm in...
I was under the impression that you cannot transport a handgun in Indiana w/o a permit, but someone said I misinterpreted it.
I don't know who's right, but where'd you find this? I have a hard time finding Indiana's gun laws, and the .pdf that opens from in.gov is the same that is from...
As in most issues, I can see both sides. It's a struggle. I'm obviously pro-gun (I own several) and I have a CCW permit. This (following idea) kind of settled it for me, once and for all. I read it somewhere, and I'm going to butcher it, but it goes something like this :
Freedom comes at a...
Hello vis-a-vis, I used to work at that UPS (I'm assuming you work at the main "hub") in Wing B loading cans.
Not to be stereotypical, but do you live in the West End? I guess this all could be happening in the Highlands or the East End, no place is immune, but it seems like you're in an...
I'm 6'3" and 300 lbs. I thought only pocket carry would work, but I have found IWB works well, with a clip on the holster, so when I sit down, I can put it in the passenger seat (or end table, desk drawer at work). I didn't think it would work, but I like it better than pocket carry now. Faster...
Yeah, I like the idea of the same moistened rag as well ( I forgot who originally mentioned it on this thread ). I use Hoppes No. 9 also so I'm going to keep that in mind, Vic.
