Had LOTS of fun! Now I have a few friends who are eagerly awaiting the PT809 at PT840 - if they handle anything like the PT845, they will be awesome as well!
I took her out for the first time today. I had a friend of mine with me and my son-in-law.
When I told my friend about it, the only way I could describe the gun was, "Imagine a polymer framed Beretta 92, with a 4 inch barrel that has a closed slide, and is chambered in 45 ACP."
Little did I...
I haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet. My son-in-law's birthday was today, and I promised to take him to the range on my bill to shoot his PT140, so, we may do that tomorrow. I'll put at least 100 rounds through it then.
I've got a Mil-Pro PT111 as well, but it needs repair.. The...
I picked up a PT845 today - she's a beauty - can't wait to shoot her!
Here's some photos of it and the holster that I am re-using from my old XD45 Service, as well as mag holder for the XD45 mags. Fits like a glove!
If you're interested in reading my review of the holster and where to get...
Again, for those of you who didn't see, I have posted an update to this review, plus review of the ROGunleather mag carrier now posted here: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthrea...93#post4692193

Sheer morbid curiousity makes me wonder now what type of incident(s) may have occurred that prompted this recall, or if it was something that they discovered internally?
I've owned one Ruger in my life - a P90 stainless... I had it for a few short period of time - got rid of it PDQ after...
Wow, nothing like shooting themselves in the foot - sales-wise that is!
You would think they would have drop-tested them a bit more instead of having pushed them out of the door like they did!
Has anyone run across any press releases regarding any police/law enforcement agencies doing serious testing or eyeing of the SR-9, or better yet, having adopted them ?
Two months down the road - holster is still just like it was the day I recieved it. The leather has not worn down any, the fit is still dead on.
I will look to this guy for any of my future holster needs!
In a world where the police can't be everywhere at once, sometimes you have to take your own protection into your own hands...
You're right though - it does suck that the world has come to this.
I personally carry an XD45 Compact. Not really overly thick, and it's got 10+1round capacity even when using the compact magazine. Plus, of course, the added benefit of the full sized 13+1 mag/grip for use at the range.
That having been said - after the break-in with the 100 rounds of hi-vel stuff, I mostly feed mine the Federal FMJ bulk from Walmart as well. Remington bulk works too (too bad they only offer it in non-jacketed form!), but tends to leave a LOT of lead built up in the barrel on both the P22 and...
For those of you who posted reviews and/or range reports, I am curious how the SR-9 has been holding up for you, whether the tightness of the magazines has improved, whether the grittiness of the trigger has smoothed out, etc etc.
Time has told - now please tell us :-)
Thanks!
