I have a Mossberg 590A1 and I'm looking into adding on to it. I'm primarily looking into getting a side saddle and a sling. I also like the idea of getting a flashlight, too, but I'm not totally sold on the idea of having a "shoot here" beacon on my shotgun. Then again, if I can't see my target...
I'm thinking of getting a 642 for pocket carry. I think my G19 is a little too large for carrying on my hip sometimes. This way, I'd have options on how I want to carry.
Does it really disappear in a front pocket? Anyone have any pictures of someone carrying in a pocket holster?
I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but originally hesitated as this isn't entirely firearms-related.
This is less about shooting and technique, and more about your mindset and tactics. I think there are little things that one can do to improve their chances if one finds...
1. Education and safety classes at a young age
2. Education and safety classes at around middle school, when kids are more responsible and be can allowed to hold a firearm without treating it like a toy
3. Harsh sentences for those who lack the mental capability to follow the law

I'm not sure if there's something wrong with me or not, but I have what I percieve to be abnormal responses to potentially serious situations.
For example, one time a guy who had at least 200 lbs. on me started to pick a fight with me. I didn't feel scared, or threatened, or anything like...
Welcome.
First off, don't worry too much about steel vs. polymer, caliber, etc. Shoot the largest caliber in a platform you can shoot comfortably. For me, that's a Glock 19 (9mm). I can carry it comfortably.
That may not work for you. Try different things.
The first thing that came to...
Awesome!
That's such a great picture, too. She's attractive, so it makes people want to look, the pose is non-threatening (feet squared towards viewer), and the way she carries isn't "scary," the way a handgun tucked into a waistband can.
This is wonderful.
I felt the same way with my Glock. I still don't chamber a round.
Part of it is your holster. I had a cheap holster that didn't let me get a good grip on my sidearm. Drawing it left my trigger finger in less-than-ideal places.
I bought a Sidearmor IWB holster. It basically conforms to the...
Absolutely.

If I had a home-defense rifle, it'd be that same setup.
A suppressor is going to (1) keep the noise down enough to prevent me from going deaf, (2)reduce the flash signature, thus saving my eyesight, and (3) the red dot sight is going to help in target acquisition.
