Now you just wait a minute, Eleven Mike, I'm one of them there Presbyterians. An Orthodox Presbyterian, I'll have you know. :neener:
From the commentary Jamieson-Fausset-Brown:
And from the Geneva Bible commentary:
One for and one against it meaning a real sword. Hmmmmmm.
I've been over to Canada 40-50 times and I'll have to say that sounds just like them. No sense of humor at all when they're on the job. We actually had all our Christmas gifts opened one year by Canadian Customs.
See this article.
It's interesting that the half-life of tritium is 12.32 years. That means half of the tritium is gone, resulting in only half the illumination, I would think. In another 12.32 years, half of the half will be gone, meaning only one fourth the illumination. I suppose they're pretty bright to...
For want of a better answer, because the sample size isn't big enough. Like you said, how many would you need to test before someone would be happy? Statistics can tell you the probability that if 5 out of 100 guns that XYZ made were defective, you can determine the probability that, if you...
And dogs, too.
Question: Has anyone used a laser pointer just by itself to try to improve the steadiness of their hands? I would think that because the laser is much lighter than a gun it would not matter much, but maybe it is all in learning to control your hand(s) in mid-air.
Maybe so but it's not like I'm looking at buying any at this time. I have had these for 27 years and I'm merely asking if anyone (especially the o.p) has ever tried to sharpen Cutco knives.
And we have had only one service call with our knives, other than the 2 resharpenings, and received...
Ooookkkkaaaayyyyy. Way to much info for me.
But back to the original poster. Have you ever sharpened Cutco knives? We bought a set 27 years ago right after we got married. They've been sharpened twice by a Cutco rep, but I have a feeling we may not want to let anyone else do it...
You may be grouchy but you're right. A thread that's titled Free! without a qualifier should mean just that - free.
So you're grouchy but I old. At least in the morning you'll have a chance to be un-grouchy but I'll still be old.
Can't say I was ever anti-gun but I really don't ever remember playing much with a toy gun when I was a lad. I remember once my dad going hunting and my sister freaking out because the rabbit he bought back was missing what little brain a rabbit has, but that isn't really an anti sentiment. I...
Don't know if it's true at all Sportsman's Warehouses, but the one near Milwaukee, WI, does not deal in used hand guns. Nice selection of new onces, though, and the staff has been friendly and knowledgeable so far, although all the long guns are behind the counter so you have to ask to see each...
A reference to Charles Darwin, proponent of evolution. There is a website devoted to the Darwin Awards which gives out awards posthumously to people who do their part to prevent the human gene pool from propagating stupidity (i.e. they kill themselves.)
Humorous in its own twisted way, but a...
Well, the article says it is a unit of mass. Again, from the same article:
And the pound can either be a pound mass or a pound force, just to add to the confusion. The two Wikipedia articles are interesting reading.
As Newton would say, force equals mass times acceleration (f=m*a).
