My first suggestion is to checkout the Hometown Forums on ar15.com
You might find a few people local to you who are willing to spare a few each of various calibers.
Hmmmm... I can never remember which state's laws are messed up in what ways. Isn't your home state one that requires some sort...
....just AFTER the trigger's breaking point?
In most AR hammer/trigger systems you will see that the hammer moves back slightly as the trigger is pulled, until the trigger nose releases the hammer. You want to make sure that there is still some rearward movement of the hammer when you adjust...
You can also get a ballistics chart that closely matches your loads and calculate how much low you should be hitting at 25 or 50 yards, then zero to that much below POA at the selected distance.
Made the show Sunday.
Passed on a $350 G26 w/ tritium, couldn't bring myself to pay $170 for a half case of GA Arms .223, was tempted by a new case for my M11/9, wound up buying a few small pistol cleaning tools. Oh, yeah - met the guys at the GCO display and gave them some cash. :-)
There's no such thing as a .223 HP with a big enough mouth to cause real issues. Soft points, maybe.
That said, M4 feed ramps have been known to assist in feeding non-FMJ ammo. Personally, I'd get a box of anything you think you might want to shoot and give it a run. It will either work, or you...
I have several cases of .223 5gr, and 9mm down the pipe - all good so far.
I also like their 7.62 168gr Match -- inexpensive alternative to Fed GMM or Hornandy Match. I had some that shot black soot out of my barrel, but to be fair, that might have been Kroil residue...
Hmmm.... has anyone else entertained the idea of boring out and porting the part of the barrel that extends past the front sight and building a baffle stack & tube that screws over like the fake can does? You could have a non-SBR integral that can be taken down for cleaning... ;-)
The transfer was legal. End of your concern.
Your friend does not recall what happened to it. This does not mean it's stolen or otherwise in bad hands. It just means that over the years it got traded away or sold or given to another person, just like you traded or sold or gave it to him. Do you...
I've mostly forgotten what firearms I've acquired in FTF sales and what I've rescued from a dealer's shelf. A modest number of the NICS records 'that are destroyed shortly after approval' likely still remain in systems somewhere, but as best I recall, they don't identify any further than...
All I know is that I need to get there some late afternoon so I can finish zeroing then wait for dark so I can do some low light/no light testing. (NV & IR gear)
Too bad he doesn't have any classroom area - I'd love to teach a UT permit and/or NRA course there... and it's way to cold to do it...
That's an awfully nice offer. :-)
I'm on an EPL right now... not even sure how much I have left. I somehow doubt they'd credit me with what I've already paid in, eh?
I'm curious how many take you up on this.
It took a while, but my mother now carries regularly. The girlfriend has recently had a scare and now wants to set in on one of my Basic Pistol courses and go to the range... ;-)
