I had noticed that, and will be discussing that with the gun belt maker. I may ahve mine modified. But I'd still like to be able to practice fast draw. And I dont know if they will get in the way for drawing if there retained like that.

My next purchase..........and I will be open carrying them

I have handled several diffrent revolvers when I first started looking into a single action rig, and I'm a fan of the bigger guns. I've got big hands, and the bigger slightly barrel heavy guns just feels more natural to me all the way around. Are you saying if I can get out without them...

My next purchase..........and I will be open carrying them

I looked at everything I could find made by Uberti, and I thought the Remington 1875 Armys were the best looking guns of the bunch. I just really like the looks of them. Thanks for the suggestion though.

July 15th I'll be ordering the leather, Aug 1st I'll be ordering the guns. I won't be able to wear or use them until Dec., but I can get my wife to throw on some tight jeans and get some good pics wearing the rig. And she knows how to shoot. She does good with my double action 5 shot .38...

    Buying a primitive fighter

I'm buying a primitive fighter from this guy. http://thepanday.blogspot.com/2008/01/primitive-fighter-friend-of-mine-came.html I'm gonna try to use it as a mold to make something similar in our forge, but for now will be carrying it, in a homemade sheath, made from a deerskin I tanned myself...

My next purchase..........and I will be open carrying them

I need to get them and shoot them so I can see what kinda work they need, but will probably have the actions cleaned up, and see if they need anything else to feel comfortable to me. Thanks for all the advice guys. I just wish I could get them right now, not have to wait till I go on leave again...

My next purchase..........and I will be open carrying them

The only reaction I'm looking for is to make sure that the components selected are good high quality models, to carry and to get started in CAS with. Everyone around home open carries, its slightly back woods. Like 41 people in my senior class, mostly gravel roads, well water, and mining country...

    Parts for Beretta

Cliff notes at bottom. I'm getting ready to buy a Beretta Extrema2 for an all around shotgun. It'll be a turkey gun, squierrl gun, rabbit, and bird gun. I already know I'm going to add a +6 extension tube for an 11 shot total capacity, and will be adding a speed bead sight, and a 3 point Black...

    Amateur Knife Making

Heres the video I said I would add. Its not much, we did all the shaping with the 10 pound hammer laying at the anvil base, we were in the clean up and final shaping stage by this time. Doing the beating is my Dad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmVVm27hclc

    Amateur Knife Making

All of the tongs you see hanging there are handmade, with the exception of two pairs, one of which is a nail mold, the other is a .45 cal. round ball mold. As are the dippers and the shovel in the back ground and almost everything else we use for forging.

    Amateur Knife Making

I do not. Sorry I can't be of any help there. There are some good videos on you tube about it though. I've never done a damuscas knife, but I would like to some day. Heres a slightly better pic of our forge setup, and I have some video loading on youtube of our knife making if your intrested.

    Amateur Knife Making

My dad built our forge in the late 70's. The firepot is an old hub out of some mining equipment, and the rest is just welded flat steel, with concrete poured in. We always burn coke for the best heat, and use a a shop vac plugged into an outlet controlled by a dimmer style switch so we can vary...
