    Dagger vs Knife

"I was trained that daggers are for killing. No sportsman needs a dagger." This is the type of thinking some folks have about certain guns......Wassup with that! Daggers have their place and are wondrous works of art when crafted by a good maker.

    38 dies, 357 magnums..

You only need the washer if you plan on loading BOTH ...38 and 357. You set the dies up for 38 then use the washer for 357 loads. Just set the dies for .357 and you are done.

    question about range brass

Cases with brass colored primers usually have Crimped pockets. A sure way to tell that the brass indeed is once fired is if that crimp is still there.

Q: Weird dents in .223 brass

I put the cases in a 1 gallon ziplock bag, spray a couple of times into the bag, then make like I'm doing Shake-n-Bake chicken. No mess, no fuss.

    "Do Not Touch"

I ask to handle the firearms on tables first, most are happy to let me fondle their wares. I've seen plenty of dropped, dinged, and scuffed guns at shows to realize why some are so defensive about letting folks touch their stuff.

    powder question

Fast burning powder do not make the best "full house" magnum loads. IME, fast powders that drive bullets really fast (Like magnum handgun loads) will erode the forcing cones on revolvers a lot faster than a slower powder. The Desert Eagle will not like them and you may have some excessive...

loads for desert eagle .44 mag

To reload for the Desert Eagle, one must load to the upper spectrum of power range and not use bullets lighter than 240grs. H-110 worked best for me, as you want the cleanest burning powder possible so no unburned powder is left to gum up the chamber. The Eagle has a tight chamber for the gas...

Do you believe in "gun break in?"

I didn't think much about breaking in firearms, until I purchased a Colt 1911. That sucker would not behave until I ran about 200rds through it. To this day, it has been the only firearm to need this break-in period. FWIW, the Old Salt that sold me the gun new, told me not to expect perfection...

    Winchester Brass HORRIBLE quality control!

This is why the old books harp about sizing and trimming new brass. I've had Federal brass like that as well. I think because they know it's going to be reloaded they must skip the final step of squaring the case. Sucks, but it must be dealt with.

Is This Reload OK? Cannelure Issue (Pic)

You really should crimp the bullets in the cannelure, especially for the Garand. Don't worry about the COAL.

    Polyester coated bullets..

In all my years of throwing lead downrange I have never been fond of anything plastic being around flame or heat when I'm shooting. I don't want to be breathing the by-products. Remember the warnings about Teflon pans when they get scratched or over heated?? Bad JuJu, IMO

    .223-Cases too short to load?

That case looks damaged by a headspace issue. Notice those two sealing rings on the case neck. That's not good.
