Denver is a rogue city, looking for people to make criminals and completely ignoring "the will of the people." When it comes to guns, Denver cries "home rule." When it comes to marijuana, Denver cries "state law says it's still illegal!"
Nonsense.
Each and every one of you supporting mandatory service are enemies of the constitution.
Those of you who have served should recall your oath and deal with yourselves accordingly.
Which is worse, a slow push towards total confiscation with steps that only "extremists" would oppose, or a hard and fast push that is easier to fight against in the court of public opinion?
"Juveniles in Colorado are not allowed to possess handguns, but the law allows parents to give their children permission to possess guns in their homes."
While the kid is a dumbass (are there any who aren't?), it seems he was convicted despite being within the letter of the law.
I think Colorado's been covered pretty well. I'm waiting for the housing market to crash to get into a house. It's going to happen soon, and probably pretty hard.

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
I'm honestly surprised that it hasn't come to serious violence yet. I keep wondering (hoping, really) how much longer it'll be, but it just keeps simmering with no boil.
