    Kahr PM9 or Sig P290

Yeah, the G26 and P290 are almost exactly the same weight. The problems with light strikes and the hammer not falling/resetting with the P290 seems to be very widespread, some people have said Sig's costumer service told them 25%-50% are coming back with the problem. Sig has been replacing a...

    Glock single stack 9mm??

Actually the PPS is an import, it's made by Walther in Germany and imported by S&W.

Thin 9mm w/ Shorter Trigger Pull than Kahr

The Kahr trigger pull isn't really that long, especially compared to it's main competition, the Kel-Tec PF9 and Ruger LC9. The Walther PPS has a Glock-like trigger, but it's a bit larger than the CW9, and more expensive. The Springfield EMP has a nice SA trigger, but it's a lot more expensive...

Any law enforcement using the FN FNP / FNX pistols?

It's not just you, I have the same problem with my FNP. The trigger on all of FN's handguns has almost no curve to it, so there's nothing to keep your finger up off the trigger guard. My finger rubs across the guard when pulling the trigger, gets smacked by the guard during recoil, then gets...

    Carry Weight, Ruger LC9 vs S&W CS9

The LC9 is 3 ounces lighter.

    Deep conceal 9MM or 380?

You might be waiting for a while, Kimber appears to have stopped production of the Solo to fix some design problems, dealers are being told it might be another 6 months till they get any. The P290 is having a very widespread problem of the hammer not falling the whole way when the trigger is...

Ruger LC9 vs Kel Tec PF9

It depends on the gun as well, most people who have shot both the Ruger/Keltec and one of the Kahr models say that the Kahr is much more pleasant to shoot, partly due to the low bore axis. I just took my new CM9 to the range a few days ago and shot 50 rounds of WWB and 30 rounds of 124gr +P...

New Walther P-22 - Ammo Question.

The slide is made of zinc, and has been known to crack, same with the Sig Mosquito. From posts on various sites they seem to be much more ammo picky than a Ruger or Browning .22. That is a very good price if it is indeed new, the cheapest I've seen online is $300, usually they go for...

    Walther P99AS 9mm

They don't show up for sale used very often, partly because they aren't very common to begin with, and most people who have them want to keep them. Buds has them new for $550 shipped, probably not going to find a much better deal on a used one.

    new kahr cm9

It's mostly because the CW series has only been out for a few years now, most of the problems with the polymer Kahrs that you hear about are older guns. Kahr has been making improvements on the guns over the years, so by the time the economy versions were released, most of the bugs were worked...

    FNP v. FNX v. CZ-75/SP01 v. STI GP6 v. Beretta Storm v. P99

As a few people have already said, out of the guns listed the FNP is one of the least common. There are a few holsters made for it, and most holsters made for the 4" XD40 will fit the FNP as well, but that's pretty much it as far as accessories/support go. OP, if you haven't already, try to...

Let's say... $600 for a new gun, for the heck of it. What would you get?

The $650 P99 at Buds is the night sights model, they have the regular sights model for a little under $550.

Let's say... $600 for a new gun, for the heck of it. What would you get?

My point was the FNP was made to compete in a lower price range and it shows, it's just not in the same league as the P99. Personally I think the XDM is a decent gun, but I'm not really a fan of the original XD.

Let's say... $600 for a new gun, for the heck of it. What would you get?

Actually, now that the P99 price has dropped the Desert Eagle clone is the same price or slightly more, I'd definitely go with the Walther. I like the looks better, the larger serrations on the newer P99's make it easier to rack the slide, and most people say the clones (SW99/Baby Eagle) don't...

Let's say... $600 for a new gun, for the heck of it. What would you get?

I love my P99, I also have a FNP-9 and the P99 is much nicer. The FNP was originally a $300 gun, it was a good deal at that price but at the $450-$550 the FNP and FNX go for now there are better choices. The DA trigger is a stiff 12 lbs, the polymer frame somehow feels a little flexible and...

    New Armscor round

It's called the .22 TCM, the gun is a doublestack 1911 with 18 round mags, it can also shoot 9mm by switching the barrel. It's supposed to come with both barrels, and both cartridges use the same mags, haven't heard anything on price or a release date yet.

Walther P99 AS (ambi controls) review & range report

I'm a lefty as well, the ambi slide release model is available in the US as the model with factory night sights, I got mine from Buds for $647, the best price I've found on them. A few ambi models have also been turning up with regular sights as well, but the only way to be sure you get the...

Walther P99 AS (ambi controls) review & range report

Overall a good review, I love my P99 as well, but I have to point out one thing. The gun only goes into the long but light AS mode when a round is chambered, after the first shot the gun reverts to the short SA mode, like a regular DA/SA gun, the trigger does not return fully forward after...
