The Marlin 1895 in 45/70 or 338 Marlin Express makes a excellent 200 yard gun. My 45/70 with 350gr hardcast makes a excellent Bear and Moose rifle.

In the 270 Win I have had the best results with IMR 4831 (favorite) and Reloader 22. Have used H4831 and IMR 4350 with good results but IMR 4831 wins in the accuracy department in my rifle. I have not tried yet but W780 Supreme suppose to be a good powder for the 270 Win.
