    Where all do you carry?

    Everywhere that it is allowed!

What is YOUR favorite Conceal carry gun?

A Beretta 92 fs compact. It is small enough to conceal easily and I feel more comfortable with 13 rounds in the magazine. I use the decocker on a chambered round and it is ready to fire with a DA pull or can cock the hammer for SA.

How long after eye surgery did you start shooting again?

When the doctor says OK I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes a month apart. I waited until after the 1 week eye exam when the doctor said it was OK and plan to do the same on the other eye.

    Remington quality?

My Wingmaster 870 12 gauge was made in April 1980. It is beautiful and works flawlessly.

    Any Beretta 92 Stainless Owners?

I also have a Beretta 92 FS Inox, it shoots exactly where you aim it! When my friends shoot it they always shoot better with it than with their own pistols.

Who actually uses cleaning GUIDES?!! Which grease, which cleaning rods?

I agree with Welding Rod. I use Tetra Gun Grease on all sliding friction points and Gun Butter on rotating friction points on my 1945 Inland M1 carbine. I use a one piece carbon fiber cleaning rod made from an arrow shaft with a bore guide turned from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) since...

    Good shooting glasses?

I prefer Rec-Specs which are intended for sporting uses, like soccer. They have a flat elastic head band which allows a much better seal with earmuff type hearing protection. The temples on regular type glasses tend to allow a slight gap and allow in noise. I bought mine from an optician...

    .410 "Handgun" ammo

Yesterday I cleaned and lubed a Stevens Model 59A bolt-action .410 shotgun that had been stored for about 20 years. It has no rust, the bore looks fine and it seems to function normally. When lookiing at shotgun shells to test fire, I saw Federal Premium .410 Handgun ammo in 3" with #4 shot...

    Remington 870 Wingmaster

Dave, Good on both counts, overall length is 30" and the barrel is 19.5". Thanks for your help!

    Remington 870 Wingmaster

A friend of mine was recently given a Remington Model 870 Wingmaster. It is a 12 gauge chambered for 2 3/4' shells. It has a pistol grip and a folding metal shoulder stock. The shoulder stock is stamped "For Law Enforcement Use Only". Is this legal to own and use here in Texas?

New walmart ammo: orange/black swiss made ammunition

Please be aware, my local indoor shooting range has banned this ammo. They say the bullets have a steel core which causes excessive sparking on the back wall. Wal-Mart has dropped the price only because it is not selling!

Problems with Federal Red Box Walmart Ammo

Maybe your problems are unique to the .40 S&W, I have fired over 2k rounds of 9mm Luger in the past year with no problems that I can recall. As for being dirty, I have used at least 5 different brands and my pistol is dirty after each one. I really cannot tell the difference from brand to brand.

slide rail lubrication: oil vs. grease

I use Tetra Gun Grease on the rails and the attachment lugs on the frame. I apply a small amount with a very small (3/0) artist brush and it stays in place and does not migrate. My lubrication philosophy is to use grease on all sliding friction points and Gun Butter on all rotating friction...

Would you let ammo availability influence your purchase choice?

Yes, I sold a .380 ACP because I got tired of no ammo availability and the price was too high when it was. I bought a 9mm versus a .40 S&W or .45 ACP because of ammo availability and price.

Anyone know what kind of 9mm ammo has in the orange and black boxes

Went to my local indoor shooting range yesterday and saw that they have banned the RWS ammo. They said it has steel core bullets that cause too much sparking on the back wall. Sure glad I did not buy any of the $17 stuff, I'll just stick with the $9.47 a box Federal ammo.

    Best Slide Lubrication

I use Tetra Gun Grease on my Beretta 92 FS Inox and it works great! I apply a thin coating with a very small brush and it does not migrate at all. I also apply it in places that powder residue likes to accumulate and it simply wipes off with a Q-tip after firing.

Do you prefer WWB or Federal Champion ammo

I have shot hundreds of rounds of each, can't tell any difference. The WWB 50 round box has a plastic rd holder as well, only the 100 rd box is a "jumble pack". I buy the Federal when Wal-Mart has it in stock and the WWB when not.

Beretta 92FS Made in Italy vs. American made

I looked at both Italian and American made 92 FS pistols. I bought an Italian made 92 FS Inox, the fit and finish seemed superior. It had the plastic recoil spring guide rod which I have replaced with a dual action spring assembly from EFK. Now the only plastic is the grips.

Mini 30, M1 Carbine, or SKS for wife

I have an M1 Carbine and highly recommend it. Loaded with Cor-Bon 100 gr DPX hollow points it has almost twice the muzzle energy of a 357 magnum. I keep it under my bed and it has a Surefire 9P mounted to the bayonet lug. No need to aim, just put the center of the light beam center mass and...

Do you have ammo for all the guns you own?

Yes, of course! I try to keep at least 500 rds for my 9mm pistol and 100 rds for my M1 Carbine. Hard to find ammo for the M1 Carbine now, would like to shoot it more but don't want to deplete my reserve.
