Crimped brass for sure. I had problems with my Lyman reamer not doing a good enough job on crimp brass. I used to use a drill bit larger than the primer pocket run in reverse to smooth out the lip on military crimps. Easy for small amounts of brass. Doesn't take much pressure or effort to do...

I'd carry as small as .22lr so long as it's accurate. Shot placement means more than the size of the round.

Investing in guns is not wise for future financial gains for the most part. Either you don't make very good returns or the gun is rare and gains so much value it eliminates many average buyers limiting your ability to sell in some cases. However, I do think that guns will be far more valuable...
